FIFA 23 is just around the corner, with the buzz of rating season soon to overcome the FIFA community.
With that in mind, we want to take a look at Cristiano Ronaldo, and assess where the Portuguese GOAT could end up in the FIFA 23 rankings.
LATEST - Downgrade INCOMING
Despite a strong season with United, Ronaldo looks to have been downgraded from a 91 OVR in FIFA 23.
This year - according to leaks - Ronaldo will be a 90 OVR, with the Portuguese superstar receiving his lowest rating since FIFA 11.
With fellow GOAT Lionel Messi also set for a downgrade in FIFA 23, we could be seeing the end of an era at the top of the FIFA rating chart.
CR7 FIFA 23 Rating Prediction
Despite being 'past his prime', Ronaldo has shown that he is still one of the best players in the world this season.
Scoring goals aplenty for Manchester United - both in the Premier League and Champions League - Ronaldo defied the odds and deserves to be rewarded in FIFA 23.
Whilst this card may look identical to his FIFA 22 offering, there have been some slight changes.
Firstly, Ronaldo's pace should be adjusted to match his tiring legs, but that should be compensated for in the shooting department.
Most players see themselves drop in rating as they enter their late 30s, but it would seem ridiculous to punish CR7 after such a good first season back in the EPL.
We think Ronaldo should remain at 91 OVR, maintaining his spot as one of the best players in the Premier League.
Ronaldo's FIFA 22 Cards
CR7 may be moving towards 40, but there's no sign of the Portuguese star slowing down.
His performances for United this season earned him some impressive cards which could give us a good indicator of where CR7 will be ranking when the FIFA 23 ratings roll around.
Base Card
Ronaldo was downgraded to a 91 at the start of FIFA 22, despite having an impressive season for Juventus prior.
The Portugal captain was the joint-highest rated player in the Premier League alongside Kevin De Bruyne, and there's every chance CR7 will be boasting a similar accolade in FIFA 23.
Team of the Season
Following an impressive season with Manchester United, Ronaldo was handed the boost he deserved in the annual Team of the Season.
Featuring alongside the Premier League's best, Ronaldo earned his stripes and was more than worthy of featuring in this team of elite superstars.
Player of the Month
Showcasing just how important he was to United throughout the campaign, Ronaldo was voted 'Player of the Month' on two separate occasions.
Earning large boosts on both occasions, Ronaldo's casual upgrades were more than warranted following his impressive first season back in red.
CR7 in Career Mode
Given his recently transferred status, Ronaldo was a hard player to acquire in career mode in FIFA 22.
CR7 also saw his rating fluctuate on many occasions, with EA constantly punishing Manchester United in rating updates for a poor season.
That being said, CR7 may be even more difficult to acquire in FIFA 23, with the Portuguese star certain to demand high wages, and he may not be active in the game for much after two seasons.
