There has been a lot of hype surrounding FIFA 23, especially with the uncertainty about what is to come next season.

EA has introduced several new features, but it is the new chemistry system that has sparked the most controversy.

This collaboration between two of the world’s largest entertainment brands has brought some footballing fan favourites to the game, celebrating their larger-than-life cult hero status alongside the amazing artists at Marvel.

Each FIFA World Cup FUT Hero also received a special illustrated FUT item at the launch of the World Cup game mode, with base versions of FUT Heroes being available at the launch of FIFA 23.

Career Mode

EA revealed a bunch of new features arriving in FIFA 23 Career Mode, with both Manager and Player Career appearing to receive the TLC they deserve.

From transfer analysts to the arrival of off-pitch activities in Player Career, EA has certainly pushed the boat out to make FIFA 23 Career Mode the best it can possibly be.

Player Career has certainly taken strides forward, but any fans of Manager Career are likely to be left feeling like they are still playing FIFA 22.

Matchday Experience

Another flashy trailer and pitch notes in the build-up to release came for the new Matchday Experience, detailing some of the new aesthetic changes that have arrived in the game.

FIFA 23 is set to bring one of the most immersive matchday experiences to date, with a host of changes making this year's game feel more real than ever before.

Cross-Play

Cross-Play has finally come in FIFA 23, however, it isn't a simple matter, with only certain game modes gaining it, and different combinations of what consoles are compatible in differing situations.

Game Modes

VOLTA Football is still the new toy in the box, so we don’t expect any new game modes to arrive any time soon.

Ultimate Team remains the main attraction as that is EA’s big money-spinner.

Career Mode received a huge overhaul in FIFA 22, so there aren't massive changes in this game as EA looks to clean up any loose ends rather than adding lots of new features.

As ever, Pro Clubs will remain a sociable and fun game mode that is best enjoyed with mates!
