Warzone 2.0 Season 3 COUNTDOWN - Release date, time, Battle Pass & more

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 3 is almost upon us and fans cannot wait to see what Activision has in store for the new campaign in CoD.

Warzone 2.0 Season 3 will bring us plenty of new content and as usual, several gameplay changes and weapons adjustments will be made too.

Release Date & Time

Warzone 2.0 Season 3 will commence on Wednesday, 12 April across all platforms.

The new season will go live at precisely 1pm ET / 6pm BST on release day.

The seasonal update will be made available to download at this time, with Patch Notes to be released before the season's launch.

We expect most of the new content to arrive as part of the large Season 3 update, with some new features becoming available throughout the season.

What to Expect

We now know that Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will see four new weapons added to the game.

The Battle Pass includes the Cronen Squall battle rifle as well as the famous Intervention sniper rifle, which is rebranded as the FJX Imperium sniper.

Later in the season, Activision will introduce two new sidearms to the game. These sidearms have not yet been disclosed but will be fully-automatic weapons.

The Battle Pass will include two characters from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign - Alejandro Vargas and Valeria Garza. These characters will be available to unlock in the premium tiers of the Battle Pass.

More operators are teased to arrive later in the season, which will likely be available as shop bundles.

Battle Pass

A larger version of the Battle Pass will be available to purchase this time around, costing roughly $30 and with over 7,000 CoD Points' worth of value.

The new Battle Pass will be named 'BlackCell' and will add over 100 rewards to the 22 Sectors of the game.

The full BlackCell Battle Pass will include the following:

• Access to the full Season 03 Battle Pass and 20 Tier Skips (25 on PlayStation®).
• 1,100 COD Points instantly awarded.
• 1,400 COD Points awarded throughout the Battle Pass.
• A BlackCell Operator, attired in an imposing animated Camo Skin.
• Additional, BlackCell-only Battle Pass content: Every Season 03 Battle Pass Sector with an Operator Skin has a BlackCell variant (12 Skins in total) to unlock.
• A Pro-Tuned Weapon Blueprint, Vehicle Skin, and Finishing Move.
• An exclusive BlackCell Sector within the Battle Pass AO serving as an alternative starting location.
• Immediate unlocking of adjacent Battle Pass Sectors to the BlackCell Sector.
• Players who upgrade to BlackCell after purchasing the Battle Pass will also receive 1,100 CP back.

Download Size

As mentioned previously, the Season 3 update will be made available for every platform at the same time on Wednesday, 12 April.

The faster your wifi or ethernet connection will obviously allow you to jump into the action as soon as possible, but how big will the download be?

The specific download size has not yet been revealed, but we expect it to be similar to that of the Season 2 update file.

So, the download size will likely be roughly 15GB for console players on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a vast improvement on the massive download sizes of Warzone 1 and shouldn't take too long to install, provided you have a steady connection.
