Modern Warfare 2 DMZ Release Date
DMZ will drop alongside Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 and Warzone 2.0 on the 16th of November. Entirely free-to-play, DMZ will run in tandem with Warzone, as an experience based on the Battle Royale mode.
DMZ will be set on the Al Mazrah map along with Warzone, but with significatly more free reign, as you'll be able to choose your own objectives on your way to exfil.
AI bots will be a big part of the map and will feature in missions as well as guarding certain locations, as in Warzone 2.0.
How does DMZ Work?
Modern Warfare 2 DMZ is an extraction style game-mode, based on Battle Royale. Players will be able to choose their own objectives, including gathering intel, taking over strongholds, and extracting hostages.
Attacking other squads on the map will be optional, but doing so will put a bounty on your head, so if you're looking for more action it's the way to go. Bots will also be present to guard strongholds and defend areas of the map.
Players will have to complete missions and gather intel in order to fight towards exfil. What that will look like remains to be seen, but we'll be sure to keep you updated on Modern Warfare 2 DMZ as more information drops.
