COD Mobile Season 8 is almost here and comes with tonnes of brand new changes and important differences.

Alongside tonnes of new changes, Crash from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is seeing a new improved version on CoD: Mobile.
This is just one of the multitude of changes you can find.
Blackout Map Coming to CoD Mobile
Ahead of CoD Mobile Season 8 beginning, Activision has confirmed that the first ever Call of Duty battle royale map, Blackout, will be coming to the mobile game to celebrate its 2nd anniversary.
"Originally launched in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Blackout was the largest map in any Call of Duty game ever and featured parts of existing multiplayer maps such as Estate, Nuketown, Construction Site and many more. In addition to Blackout, the Battle Royale experience is being updated and enhanced. During the Anniversary season we’ll also be announcing an exciting new tournament set on the Blackout map."
That's not all that's coming for the anniversary celebrations, there will also be "three new events -- an Anniversary Cake event, an Anniversary Puzzle event, and a new themed event called Counterattack."
START DATE - When does Season 8 begin?
At the moment, we don't know for certain when COD Mobile Season 8 is going to start. We can hazard a guess, though, based on the current Battle Pass and when that's due to expire - so, it should be pretty accurate.
COD Mobile's Season 7 - Elite of the Elite - Battle Pass is due to expire on September 24th. This means we should see Season 8 start straight after.
More specifically, we should see Season 8 begin at the following times:
- 17:00 September 24th - PST
- 20:00 September 24th - EST
- 01:00 September 25th - BST
COD Mobile's seasonal updates drop at the same time every couple of months, so this shouldn't change for Season 8. However, it's worth noting that some regions might see the update before others. So... We'll keep you updated.
Announcement - Latest teasers suggest more news tomorrow
At the moment, still don't have an official run-down of COD Mobile Season 8 - or any Patch Notes. That doesn't mean we don't know a little bit about what's coming, but it doesn't mean we can really count on too much of what we're seeing.
COD Mobile tweeted the following teaser around 01:00 BST on September 17th:
As you can see, it says "Status: Hyped For Tomorrow". This is the most recent teaser in what's been a week of similar content posts, so we're pretty sure we're going to see a COD Mobile Season 8 announcement arrive at around 17:00 PST / 20:00 EST on September 17th and 01:00 BST on September 18th.
NEW CONTENT LEAKS- What's on the way?
COD Mobile Season 8 might not be out just yet, but the Test Build for the update has been out in the wild for a little wild now and that means data miners have been hard at work uncovering everything that's coming to COD Mobile in the next update. Here's what we know...
- New Weapon - M13 Assault Rifle
- First seen in Modern Warfare 2019;
- New Weapon - R90 Shotgun
- First seen in Modern Warfare 2019;
At the moment, we don't know how to unlock these weapons. Like last season, we should see at least one of them included in the Season 8 Battle Pass as a free reward.
- New Multiplayer Map - Hovec Sawmill
- First seen in Modern Warfare 2019;
- New Multiplayer Map - Crash
- First seen in Modern Warfare 2007;
- This is expected to be a revamp of the current iteration of Crash in COD Mobile;
- New Operator Skill - Tak-5
- This will heal you, boost your max health by 50 points, and remove negative status effects from you and your teammates - like burning;
- New Scorestreak - Lightning Strike
- Lightning Strikes will cost 1050 Points;
- This scorestreak will allow you to call in three coordinated strikes on the map - like an airstrike, really;
- New Perk - Iron Lungs
- Iron Lungs is a Red Perk;
- " Extend the time during which the sniper rifle will not shake while raising the mirror." - Yeah, we don't know either.
- The Iron Lungs perk will extend the duration of Hold Breath while ADS with a scope;
- New Feature- Weapon Inspection
- This feature is something Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare all boast;
- You will be able to find this option on the Emote Wheel following the COD Mobile Season 8 update;
- New Throwable - Flash Drone
- New BR Vehicle - Rally Car
In addition to this, a new Battle Royale map is expected to arrive at some point - however, we don't have much more information about this regarding the COD Mobile Season 8 update yet.
