EA Sports FC will signal the start of a brand-new franchise, with major features already being leaked ahead of this release.
EA and FIFA announced their split last year and EA Sports FC will now become the flagship football gaming franchise.
With that in mind, let's take a look at who could feature on the cover of EA Sports FC.
Who will be on the cover of EA Sports FC?
For the past two years, PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe has appeared on the cover of FIFA, but could be the French star be bumped off for the first instalment of EA Sports FC?
It was reported that Mbappe had signed a multi-year deal with EA to appear on the cover, but we're uncertain whether that contract will have become void once the FIFA and EA collaboration was cancelled.
With EA conducting many of their deals away from FIFA, it would appear likely that Mbappe's deal will see him remain on the cover heading into EA Sports FC.
Having said that, we did see Sam Kerr appear as a dual cover star for FIFA 23 - and with the women's game expected to receive some more TLC in EA Sports FC - we could see the same for this first-ever cover.
Of course, there is the possibility that EA throw it back to the good old days and have nation-specific covers for their brand-new franchise.
What is EA Sports FC?
EA released the following regarding EA Sports FC in their official statement:
"EA SPORTS FC will allow us to realize this future and much moreā¦but not before we deliver our most expansive game ever with our current naming rights partner, FIFA, for one more year."
"We are committed to ensuring the next FIFA is our best ever, with more features, game modes, World Cup content, clubs, leagues, competitions, and players than any FIFA title before."
With FIFA 23 still set to offer us plenty more brilliant content, it really is exciting times for FIFA/EA Sports FC fans!
