UFC 4 Roster Update adds GSP, Silva, Bisping, Khabib, more with Prime Icons

The latest UFC 4 Roster Update is now arriving, and along with it are coming Prime Icons versions of George St-Pierre, Anderson Silva, Michael Bisping, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and more.

We've got all the details on this UFC 4 Roster Update, new Prime Icons, and Russian fighter making his in-game debut.

UFC 4 Roster Update brings Prime Icons GSP, Silva, Overeem, and more

The next UFC 4 Roster Update is a big one, and that's because the game is bringing Prime Icons to the table for the first time.

While UFC 4 already has Legend Fighters, EA has pointed out this is markedly different, as these new Prime Icons bring playable prime-era versions of fan-favorite fighters to UFC 4 ahead of this weekend's UFC 268.

THE LIVING LEGEND: Khabib was the first of these UFC 4 Prime Icons to be revealed

We know that a total of six Prime Icons are joining UFC 4 in this Roster Update, and the following legendary fighters have been confirmed:

  • Georges St-Pierre
  • Anderson Silva
  • Michael Bisping
  • Khabib Nurmagomedov
  • Alistair Overeem
  • Joanna Jedrzejczyk

This UFC 4 Roster Update that includes Prime Icons is expected to deploy later today, but we don't know exactly what time it will go live.

All six fighters are definitely worthy of this Prime Icon status, whether it's a legend and UFC Hall of Famer like GSP or a modern-day living legend like Khabib.

Islam Makhachev makes his UFC 4 roster debut

While much of the focus for this UFC 4 Roster Update will understandably be on the exciting addition of Prime Icons, this will also mark the in-game debut for rising Russian standout Islam Makhachev.

While he's a bit of a fight veteran having competed in the Russian fighting scene as early as 2010, Islam Makhachev went 11-0 in Russia and Ukraine before making his UFC debut in 2015.

After submitting Leo Kuntz in his UFC 187 debut, Makhachev took a loss late in 2015 against Adriano Martins at UFC 192, but that remains the only time Makhachev has not exited the octagon victorious.

In the years since then, Makhachev has consistently proven himself with wins by decision, KO, and submission en route to his current 21-1 record after toppling Dan Hooker at UFC 267.

While Makhachev hasn't yet found his way to a UFC championship, his continued success and fan requests to add him are now making his UFC 4 debut a reality.

We don't yet know what kind of debut rating Islam Makhachev will get, but that should be confirmed once this UFC 4 Roster Update goes live.
