Sony has confirmed they will have a show on 6 August.
WHAT COULD IT BE: Not next-gen, but still plenty to look forward to
They left it a little late to announce such an event, but it doesn't take long for word to spread about PlayStation content these days.
No PS5 news
Sony headed off any potential disappointment by telling fans not to expect the release date, price, or pre-orders for the PS5 to be announced.

This event will focus on PS4 and PS VR games, but there will also be some check-ins on third-party games from June's PS5 showcase.
That could mean some gameplay or updates about a few key titles.
NBA 2K21
First announced during the PS5 reveal event, it's about time we had another look at NBA 2K21.

While it is available via backward compatibility, to truly get the next-gen feel, you have to buy the next-gen edition of NBA 2K21. However, 2K has not yet told us exactly what that means for gameplay and features.
A State of Play would be the perfect time to do so.
FIFA 21
While the cover star was revealed and the trailer released, we have seen very little of FIFA 21 on next-gen.
A sneak-peek at some next-gen gameplay would get the extensive FIFA 21 audience excited for the PS5.
Gran Turismo 7
Unfortunately, as Polyphony is a first-party developer, it seems like Gran Turismo 7 won't feature this week.
