What Is The Air Jordan 1 Mid UNC Release Date?

Nike is yet to disclose an exact release date for these sneakers; however, with the unveiling of the official images, it's expected the "UNC" Mids will arrive sooner rather than later in 2022, perhaps even in the coming months.

Due to recent delays in Jordan drops though, Nike may push the release of these sneakers back to a slightly later date than first anticipated.

With so much speculation, make sure you check back in with us because we'll be keeping you updated with the latest news surrounding these Jordan 1's right here.

Air Jordan 1 Mid UNC Design

We've seen a number of Jordan's dressed in the University of North Carolina colours over the years, with this particular iteration closely resembling the 2015 Jordan 1 release at first glance.

However, upon closer inspection, it would appear there are a number of subtle differences from its 2015 counterpart

Firstly, the colour blocking around the collar and ankle panels appears to be the inverse of what we've seen from previous collegiate-inspired Jordan's, with off-white being used as opposed to light blue.

Also, it would seem this Jordan 1 is shorter and more compact than before as there are only 8 eyelets rather than 9; however, this may be unsurprising given the mid-top build.

In terms of branding, you get the typical Jordan Jumpman logo on the tongues and insoles, while the usual "Wings" insignia comes emblazoned on the ankle flaps.

Overall, the "UNC" Mids should include the same high-quality materials used as is accustomed to Jordan 1's like the leather panels across the upper and rubber soles surrounding the Nike Air compartments to increase comfort.

Without an official listing, the exact price of these sneakers is currently a mystery.

It's predicted that they will retail for around $120 based on previous Jordan 1 Mid releases; however, we'd advise taking this figure as final without confirmation from the brand.
