We've got some great news for players hoping for NBA 2K23 news as a tweet finally announced that the game is on the way.

We'll take a look at the tweet and what it could mean for the next set of reveals. There could be a potential release date in the near future as well.

NBA 2K23 revealed by 2K on Twitter

We now know that NBA 2K23 is on the horizon, however, we don't know exactly when. Still, it's great to see that the game is being made.

The tweet from the NBA2K Twitter account doesn't reveal much, but we'll attach it below so you can see the announcement.

Now that the game has been confirmed, speculations surrounding cover athletes and release dates are circulating.

We actually have a few ideas on who the NBA 2K23 cover athlete will be. However, it's important to note that this is all speculation.

Potential Cover Athletes for NBA 2K23

There are a lot of names that are making polls and odds to land the NBA 2K23 cover. However, there's one in particular that we believe deserves it.

Stephen Curry was electric this year, winning another championship with the Golden State Warriors and being named Finals MVP. Even a big three image with Curry joined by Klay Thompson and Draymond Green would be incredible.

Along with Curry, there are many that would like to see Ja Morant on the cover of NBA 2K23 as well. Right now, he leads the odds via Oddshark:

  • Ja Morant+100
  • Nikola Jokic+300
  • Jayson Tatum+400
  • Joel Embiid+450
  • Stephen Curry+500

As you can see, the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic is in the running as well, so perhaps he could make the cover.

Release Date Expectations

Although it's not confirmed, we have what we believe will be the release date for NBA 2K23. This of course is without any delays that might happen.

Using previous releases, including the release date of NBA 2K22, we expect this year's title to be released on Friday, September 9, 2022.
