With reveals rolling out about NBA 2K23, one new report may have leaked prices a full day before they were to be announced.
Here's everything we know so far about how much fans will have to pay for the top-notch NBA 2K23 Championship Edition and why it's actually worth the cost.
NBA 2K23 Championship Edition price leaked as most expensive in series history
Yesterday, we got the exciting announcement from 2K that Michael Jordan would once again grace the cover of this long standing series.
It's far from the first time, but Jordan got two unique editions this time including the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition and NBA 2K23 Championship Edition.
As seen on the covers below, one features Jordan himself while the other centers on his unforgettable Chicago Bulls jersey featuring #23.

When announced, 2K also stated that pre orders for NBA 2K23 wouldn't go live until Thursday, July 7, 2022.
Ahead of that official reveal, a new report from 2KIntel has leaked the prices for each edition of NBA 2K23.
According to that report, the Standard Edition will carry same usual price, but it's the other two editions that are breaking the mold.
The expected price for the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition is $100, but the NBA 2K23 Championship Edition will apparently be as much as $150.
Last year, the NBA 2K22 75th Anniversary Edition was their most expensive option at $100 for a pile of in-game rewards.
While the report is unconfirmed at this time, 2KIntel has been accurate in the past and these details all appear credible.
NBA League Pass is the biggest value in NBA 2K23
Along with their report on the price, 2KIntel followed up with details about the expected NBA 2K23 pre order rewards.
If the reports ring true, the following primarily in-game rewards will be provided to all players who snag the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition or NBA 2K23 Championship Edition:
- Dual-Gen entitlement (same console family)
- 100K Virtual Currency
- 10 MyTEAM Tokens
- Ruby Michael Jordan MyTEAMCard
- 23 MyTEAM Promo Packs (Receive 10 at launch plus an Amethyst topper pack, then 2 per week for 6 weeks)
- Free Agent Option MyTEAM Pack
- Diamond Jordan Shoe MyTEAM Pack
- Ruby Coach Card MyTEAM Pack
- 10 Boosts for each MyCAREER Skill Boost type
- 10 Boosts for each Gatorade Boost type
- 4 Cover Athlete T-Shirts for your MyPLAYER
- MyPLAYER backpack and arm sleeve
- Custom-design skateboard for MyPLAYER
- One 2-Hr Double XP Coin
However, it's the three rewards exclusive to the NBA 2K23 Championship Edition that really stand out the most.
First up, players will receive a 12-Month NBA League Pass subscription, something that would normally cost $15 per month or $180 for the full year.
Anyone who was already planning to snag NBA League Pass for the year may want to grab the NBA 2K23 Championship Edition just for that $30 annual savings alone.
On top of that, players will receive a Michael Jordan Themed Go-Kart to use in NBA 2K23, a big bonus for game modes when most players will only be able to start at skateboard speed.
Finally, players will receive a permanent 10% XP Boost on MyTEAM and MyCAREER Season Progression with the Championship Edition.
For any gamers who enjoy MyTEAM or MyCAREER and working through levels for rewards, this is a massive bonus to start the year with an always active 10% boost.
Again, this info is leaked and still unconfirmed, but we should know for sure when official reveals land on July 7, 2022.
