- Quick Answer: MLB The Show 27 is expected to release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and potentially Nintendo Switch 2, while skipping PC and Game Pass.
MLB The Show 27 is one of the most anticipated sports games of 2027. After the worst franchise entry since 2021, fans hope this new title can get the franchise back on track.
With a PC port being rumored for what seems like an eternity now, many fans are wondering on which platforms the game will release.
If you are looking for the answer to that question, and would also like to know if a day-one return to Game Pass is on the cards, you've come to the right place.
MLB The Show 27 Platforms
While there is no official information regarding the MLB The Show 27 platforms as of yet, taking into consideration previous years, the game is expected to release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
There is also a good chance the game finally debuts on the Nintendo Switch 2, as MLB The Show has been available on the older version of the hardware for five years now, making it the perfect time to make the jump.
When it comes to the pc port, something that a considerable part of the fan base has been asking for a while, it seems that it continues to be nothing but a mirage.
There are no reports, official or otherwise, that point towards a PC port for MLB The Show 27, or upcoming entries in the franchise, for that matter.
A Sony's San Diego Studio job listing for a Senior Graphics PC Programmer is all PC port enthusiasts have to cling to. While this can mean a PC port is on the works, we advise you not to get your hopes up.
Unfortunately, the day-one return to Game Pass is almost as unlikely as the PC port. Day-one Game Pass releases for MLB The Show came to an end with MLB The Show 24, and we don't expect the franchise to reverse that decision any time soon.
MLB The Show 27 will continue to be a current-gen console exclusive, and while a PC port is unlikely to happen this year, a Nintendo Switch 2 port might be on the cards.
We will update this article once more information about the MLB The Show 27 platforms is revealed.
