MLB The Show 24 - Everything You Need to Know About Season 3

Season 3 of MLB The Show 24 is here, and it brought a lot of great content to Diamond Dynasty, with new programs, events, packs, conquest maps, and much more.

This new massive content drop aims to make MLB The Show 24 continue to feel fresh and entertaining, especially the popular Diamond Dynasty mode.

Season 3 Release Date

Season 3 of MLB The Show 24 arrived on Thursday, 29 August, at around 12 pm PST (3 pm ET / 8 pm BST).

As mentioned above, this season introduced a plethora of new content, with a new Team Affinity program, a brand-new collection, and a new reward path, among many other things.

Season 3 Programs

This new MLB The Show 24 season introduced two new programs, the Season 3 Awards Drop 1 program, and the Team Affinity Season 3 Chapter 1 program.

The Team Affinity Season 3 Chapter 1 program allows players to earn a total of 30 great cards, one for each MLB team. Players can also earn some fantastic rewards, such as Stubs, and packs, that can help them improve their squad.

As for the Season 3 Awards Drop 1 program, users can earn four decent cards, as well as many packs, including a Balling Is A Habit and a Headliners pack.

Players will need to finish many missions, moments, and challenges, to complete both of the programs and secure all of the rewards in the process. Completing missions and challenges from both programs will also earn players XP for the Season 3 reward path, helping them secure even more rewards.

Season 3 Events

When it comes to events, Season 3 introduced just one, for now, called the Chapter One Event.

This event allows users to earn many rewards, with players earning an Out of Position Series 95 OVR Wade Bogg at 10 wins, and an Out of Position Series 96 OVR Trevor Hoffman at 15 wins.

• Min Player - 50 OVR
• Max Team - 99 OVR
• All-Star Difficulty

Season 3 Packs

Season 3 of MLB The Show 24 introduced a plethora of new packs to Diamond Dynasty, and more will be added throughout the season.

The Chase Pack 12, Headliners 39 Choice Pack, Season 3 Awards Drop 1 Pack, OOP Choice Pack 1, and the Season 3 Cornerstone Captains Pack, were all the packs that arrived at Diamond Dynasty on day one of Season 3. All of the packs contain great cards, that can help players upgrade their squads.

Unfortunately, the majority of these packs can't be earned, which means players will need to spend money if they want to get their hands on some of these splendid cards.

But the Season 3 Cornerstone Captains Pack is free and offers players a card that boosts the attributes of other players in the squad. These cards are perfect for users to build their squad around, especially at the beginning of the season.

Players can choose one of the four players the Season 3 Cornerstone Captains Pack includes. These cards, and their attribute boosts, are the following:

• 93 OVR Brandon Lowe - Boosts Hitters with under 100 Contact against RHP and LHP

Season 3 Collections

Two new collections were added to Diamond Dynasty in Season 3, they are the Season 3 Collection and the Out of Position Collection.

Both collections include some fantastic cards, that can take players' squads to the next level and help users complete the many MLB The Show 24 programs easily and quickly.

Players can also earn many packs by completing these collections.

Here are all the rewards of the Season 3 Collection, and how many cards players need to collect to unlock them:

• Collect 150 – Season 3 Collection Choice Pack

• Collect 70 – Hall of Fame Series Jackie Robinson (99 OVR)
• Collect 50 – Wild Card Slot
• Collect 40 – Hall of Fame Series Mariano Rivera (99 OVR)
• Collect 30 – Ballin’ is a Habit Pack
• Collect 15 – Wild Card Slot
• Collect 10 – Headliners Pack
• Collect 1 – Wild Card Slot

When it comes to the Out of Position Collection, here are the rewards users can earn:

• Collect 40 – Out of Position Series SP Anthony Rizzo (99 OVR)
• Collect 30 – Out of Position Series CF Michael Lorenzen (99 OVR)
• Collect 20 – Out of Position Series SS Hunter Greene (97 OVR)
• Collect 10 – Out of Position Series C Bob Gibson (96 OVR)
