Trout and deGrom rising in latest Roster Update

MLB The Show 21 has released the first major Roster Update for the game, and as such the ratings for several Diamond Dynasty players are on the rise.

Of course, some weren't so lucky and saw their ratings fall, but here's all the details on the latest roster update for Diamond Dynasty in MLB The Show 21.

MLB The Show 21 April 30 Roster Update

MLB The Show 21 released the game's first major Roster Update on April 30, 2021 to coincide with Game Update 3.

This latest update (Version 1.03, 1.003, or 1.0.0.35) largely addressed needed fixes in Road to the Show, Ballplayer, and overall gameplay, but it also changed the roster itself.

The roster update included in this altered the ratings and attributes for several important players in Diamond Dynasty, added dozens of new players, and changed positions for several players as well.

First players gain and lose Diamond status

The top tier of players in Diamond Dynasty have Diamond ratings, and only players with a rating of 85 OVR or higher get to receive that status.

This first roster update saw two players, Jose Abreu and Matt Chapman, become the first to lose Diamond status after dipping below 85 OVR.

However, we also see Trea Turner and Byron Buxton on the rise and jump from previously being Gold tier players to now being Diamond level.

Top 25 Diamond Dynasty Ratings Changes

While there were dozens and dozens of changes made to ratings in this first major MLB The Show 21 Roster Update, the top of the pack is most interesting.
