Released via twitter, four players were confirmed to have the maximum 99 OVR rating this year. Let's take a look at who they are.

The Angels outfielder once again receives a 99 OVR rating thanks to a 2019 season that featured 45 homers, a 1.038 OPS, and a third MVP award.
Nolan Arenado
The Rockies' third baseman has long been a monster at the plate.
After a 99 OVR rating last year it was going to be touch-and-go if Arenado made it again in The Show 20, but a strong season assured his spot atop the ratings.
With 41 homers, a .315 average, and strong defense he can do it all.
Jacob deGrom

The Mets ace picks up a maximum score this year.
It's not particularly surprising given he has won back-to-back Cy Young awards.

With a combined 2.05 ERA and 524 strikeouts since the start of 2018, he is a very deserving member.
Max Scherzer
A three-time Cy Young winner, Max Scherzer finally claimed a World Series ring last season with the Washington Nationals.
Scherzer is certainly the most surprising name of this group given that in 2019 he has a 2.92 ERA and did not lead the National League in strikeouts for the first time since 2015.
However, it is hard to argue with his career performance or importance to the Champs.
