The first week of the NFL season is in the books and it provided a lot of great moments, spectacular performances, and also some disappointing ones. All of that was taken into account by the Madden 25 developers to adjust the player ratings.

Players who had great performances were rewarded with a boost in their ratings, while underperformers saw their ratings take a hit. The Madden 25 week 2 roster update is already live, so let's take a look at which players were affected by it.

The 99 Club is Just After This Door

After a fantastic week 1 performance, Stellers left outside linebacker T.J. Watt saw his rating increase to a 98 OVR and only needs the password to enter the Madden 25 99 Club.

It might not take long for Watt to get the password, as a similar performance in week 2 versus the Denver Broncos away from home might be enough to make Watt the first new member of the Madden 25 99 Club.

However, T.J. Watt wasn't the only one to see his rating upgraded, as Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley, Buccaneers star wide receiver Mike Evans, and the 49ers rising star Brock Purdy, all saw their rating increase by one.

Here are the most noticeable rating upgrades of the Madden 25 week 2 roster update:

Madden 25 week 2 roster upgrades
T.J. Watt - 98 OVR (+1)
Tristan Wirfs - 95 OVR (+1)
Dexter Lawrence II - 96 OVR (+1)
Saquon Barkley - 93 OVR (+1)
Joe Mixon - 92 OVR (+1)
Mike Evans - 92 OVR (+1)
Aidan Hutchinson - 89 OVR (+1)
Greg Rousseau - 87 OVR (+1)
Alvin Kamara - 86 OVR (+1)
Brock Purdy - 86 OVR (+1)

Underperformers Saw their Ratings Decrease

As mentioned above, the Madden 25 week 2 roster update also punished the players who underperformed in week 1. Some of them even received a two-rating decrease, as is the case of Tyron Smith, who had a subpar game versus the 49ers.

But Smith wasn't the only underperformer in week 1. Despite a win versus the Packers, in the historic NFL Sao Paulo game, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had his rating decrease by one. Derrick Brown also saw his rating take a big hit after a blowout loss to the Saints.
