Unlike its cousin EA Sports FC the Madden ratings team doesn't shy from giving out the maximum score, so who will make the Madden 25 99 Club when the game launches?
Madden 24 wrapped up its roster updates with six players in the 99 Club, but how many will we have this year, and who is likely to get that coveted 99 OVR rating when the new game comes out?

Madden 25 99 Club
Tyreek Hill was the first inductee of the Madden 25 99 Club, with the cheetah becoming the first Miami Dolphins player ever to be a 99 OVR.
Hill is coming off a great 2023 season, with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, despite being limited at the end of the season, due to injury. He kept his 99 speed, but his acceleration decreased to 98, despite that he is still one of the biggest offensive threats in Madden 25.
The newly-crowned Offensive Player of the Year and Madden 25 cover athlete, Christian McCaffrey, is also a 99 OVR and was the second player inducted into the Madden 25 99 Club.
The 49ers running back put up over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns in a dominant season. So it's no surprise to see him in the 99 Club.
But he isn't the only 49ers player to be in the Madden 25 99 Club, as offensive linemen Trent Williams is joining him. Williams is a force of nature, and with a 99 OVR, he makes the 49ers look even scarier than expected in Madden 25.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots managed it in the early 2000s. So it's no surprise to see the Chief's two biggest stars, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, being part of the Madden 25 99 Club.
Mahomes has long been the best QB in the NFL, and Kelce is his most prolific weapon. This duo will be tough to beat in Franchise Mode.
Madden 25 Release Date
So when will Madden 25 come out? The new installment of the Madden franchise will be released on Friday 16 August.
It follows the pretty stringent Madden pattern of releases we have seen in the last few years, with the game releasing on the third Friday of August, the same time the last few games have been released.
There will also be three days of early access for getting the Deluxe Edition, so players could get into the game on 13 August.
