How to Restructure Contracts in Madden 25
To restructure a contract in Madden 25, players first need to access the team salaries page, which can be found in the manage roster tab.
On the team salaries page, users can see which players are eligible for a contract restructure, by hovering over them.
If the restructure contract option appears on a player then he is eligible for it, and users can press Y on Xbox or Triangle on PlayStation to restructure their contract.
Unfortunately, Madden 25 doesn't allow players to choose how they want to restructure the contract, and will just give users an option to free some cap space in the present season, and then add a specific amount to each of the remaining years of the contract.
As mentioned above, this feature is great for creating some extra cap space in the current season, allowing users to go for big trades, or sign some superstar in free agency.
However, players should only restructure the contracts of key players, otherwise, they will get a cap space penalty if they end up trading or even cutting that player.
So contract restructuring is better used on superstar players, or rising stars, players teams build around and are either among the best in their position in the league or have a huge potential.
