When Does Madden 25 Come Out?

Players from all around the world have been asking one question, when does Madden 25 come out?

The next NFL game is set to be a crucial one for EA as talk of emerging rivals and fan discontent grows. But its exclusive NFL title is still one of the most profitable games every year.

So let's find out when will the new Madden game land.

Madden 25 Release Date

The Madden release date has followed a pretty straightforward pattern in the last few years, releasing on the third Friday of August, and EA won't deviate from that in 2024.

That means that Madden 25 will be released on Friday 16 August 2024.

Players who buy the Madden 25 Deluxe edition, which can be acquired for £89.99/$99.99, will have three days of early access, which means they can start playing on Tuesday, 13 August 2024.

What will Madden 25 be Called?

It was an odd decision at the time, and even worse now that we have reached this moment, but EA actually released Madden 25 in August 2013 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

Despite that, this year's title will also be called Madden 25, which means EA Sports chose the easy way out. They could have adjusted the name a little and run with Madden 2025, which made much more sense, but that won't be the case.

There was also the possibility of going away from the name altogether and just calling it something like EA NFL 25, as we have seen them do with the FIFA games.

We would have loved to see this year's game called something like "Madden Legacy" and have it include some of the features of previous games updated for today such as create-a-play, custom fans, and new features like proper contract structures and revised Ultimate Team formats.

Instead, we will have another Madden 25, but at least this one promises to introduce some massive gameplay changes and big improvements to the Superstar and Franchise mode, which has made many fans regain hope in this year's title.

However, only time will tell if all of these gameplay changes, and new features, are successful, and can revitalize the Madden franchise.
