Madden 22 has dropped Title Update 3 for all platforms, and the patch notes on this small update outlines some of the fixes that are on the agenda.

We've got full details on what's being fixed with the Madden 22 Title Update and exactly when it should become available on your platform.

Madden 22 Title Update 3: Patch Notes & Release Time

If you're on PC or Stadia, the most recent Madden 22 Title Update should have already deployed around 7am ET this morning.

For console players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, you won't have much longer to wait as it's scheduled for 11am ET.

We're still getting details about the download size, but can confirm it's just 584.23 MB on Xbox Series X|S and is listed as Version 1.0.0.7.

This latest Madden 22 Title Update is showing as Version 1.4 on PS4, and the download came in at approximately 1.1 GB.

We'll likely see a similar size on Xbox One to the PS4 update, and a similar size on PS5 for the Xbox Series X|S update.

LOCKDOWN: The new coverage fixes should help the AI for defense

The Madden 22 Title Update 3 Patch Notes revealed on Good Morning Madden outlined the following fixes:

  • Tuning to Outside Cover 3 Deep Zones giving up too much space vs Corner routes with no other vertical receiving threat in the area
  • Tuning to Cover 3 Deep Zones vs Bunch Flood concepts
  • Tuning to Outside Cover 3 Deep Zones to better anticipate threats coming from across the field with no other threats to their zone
  • Resolved an issue with flipped play art when base aligning and choosing a new play
  • Addressed an issue with class progression when the player lock is on in Face of the Franchise

If you're curious what all Madden 22 has fixed in previous Title Updates that dropped since the game was released, we've got more details on that here.

EA is finally addressing broken pass coverage in Madden 22

As was discussed during the reveal on Good Morning Madden, EA seems well aware that pass coverage is significantly broken in Madden 22.

While bugs have been one issue, it's the issues with pass coverage that have drawn the most ire from some die-hard and newer Madden 22 players.

While this update only addresses Cover 3, this should just be the beginning, as they explained more pass coverage fixes are in the works.

BAD NEWS: The pass coverage fixes will quell some QBs

Following the release, a few other details were revealed in an EA Answers post regarding the update, including that aspects of Flats and Curl-Flat zones will be the focus in the next Title Update.

Cover 4 also got a mention during Good Morning Madden, so that could be another one to get remedied in an upcoming Madden 22 Title Update, but we don't know exactly when that will arrive.

There are also still plenty of eyes on the October Title Update, which is expected to bring the highly-anticipated and recently delayed Scouting feature to Franchise Mode.

We've got more details here on the Scouting Update and what to expect when it finally arrives in Madden 22.
