All Out Warfare is coming. It's time to look ahead to the next Battlefield title and tune into EA DICE's Battlefield 6 reveal stream. Here's everything you need to know about everything that was announced today.
LATEST - Battlefield 2042 Is Coming
EA DICE's Battlefield 2042 sounds incredible and PlayStation has shared some new information about the upcoming title. First, though, we have the Official Reveal Trailer below:
Battlefield 2042 is going to feature 128-player games on next-gen consoles that will pit Ex-Pat Specialists against one another in three key gameplay pillars going forwards.
All Out Warfare features two classic modes, Conquest and Breakthrough, and Hazard Zone seems to be the next iteration of Firestorm. We're being told that it's very much not a Battle Royale, though. However, it sounds like one. The third mode remains a mystery for now, but we can imagine that this is going to be some sort of larger-scale multiple-day conflict mode.
In addition to this, there are seven maps coming at launch, each with its own dynamic world events that will shape how each battle will play out. We guess that's what the tornado was about in the trailer, then. You can check out all this information and more in the Tweet below:
When Does The Stream Start?
EA DICE's Battlefield 6 reveal stream is due to start at 07:00 PST / 10:00 EST / 15:00 BST on June 9th.
We're not expecting to see too much, with EA Play coming next month. Rather, we are anticipating this to be a three-to-four minute teaser trailer that confirms the fact that Battlefield 6 is going to be set in the modern-day and/or near future.
Battlefield 6 returning to the gameplay of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 is something that's been talked about a lot. We don't know much else about the new title at the moment, but numerous sources claim that it will be a return to this era of Battlefield and everything we've seen so far certainly seems to agree with this sentiment.
How To Watch It
You might not be surprised to find out that the Battlefield 6 reveal stream is going to be broadcast on Battlefield's YouTube Channel.
Much like the Fortnite Season 7 Story Trailer, or the recent PlayStation State of Play, the actual stream is set up and ready to go. We just have to wait until it goes live later today. You can keep an eye on it below:
Reveal teasers rarely showcase gameplay, so we're not expecting to see any from the Battlefield 6 reveal stream later today. Rather, we can imagine it will just "set the scene". If Battlefield decides to return to a single campaign format, too, we can imagine we'll see more about that during this stream.
