Trust in The Force; Jedi: Fallen Order might be coming out later this week

I've got a bad feeling about this. Well, we don't... But anyway...

Respawn Entertainment's hugely popular Star Wars title, Jedi: Fallen Order, is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S sooner than you might think. Here's everything we know about the game and what to expect.

Is this what EA meant when they said more Star Wars games were on the way?

LEAK - Release Date Confirmed For PS5 Version Of JFO

It's worth taking this with a grain of salt, but an anonymous source speaking to The Gamer has suggested that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming to next-gen consoles as early as June 11th, this Friday.

Reportedly, a UK Retailer has received physical copies of the title and is expecting an "announcement and release" later this week.

Early reports suggested that this would be coming out in the Summer, but a recent listing by a Brazillian retailer suggested Jedi: Fallen Order would be coming to next-gen consoles on June 26th.

It is quite possible that the release date could have been moved up even further. Respawn Entertainment and EA are yet to mention anything to confirm this report, though.

Jedi: Fallen Order On PS5 & Series X|S

It's the news every Star Wars fan has been waiting to hear (except a Battlefront II 2005 remaster!) Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is getting a next-gen release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

As far as we know, Respawn Entertainment is going to handle this release too so you know that it'll be as true to the original as it can be. Below, we have the Tweet from EA Star Wars that announces all the deals that are coming in the next few days and the information we all wanted to see.

And here's what we know so far:

" Coming this summer, we’re excited to announce the next-gen release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, bringing a number of technical improvements to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions of the game. This will be a free cross-generation upgrade to current owners. More details will come soon."

The next-gen version will be a free cross-generational upgrade for current owners of the game and it will feature a number of technical improvements.

Next-Gen Release Date

At the moment, we don't actually have a specific release date. It's a bit of a shame, but we are just a day after the actual announcement that it's coming.

All we know so far is that Jedi: Fallen Order is going to release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at some point in the Summer. It's a bit vague, but it does mean we can expect it by September latest, right?

There's also the promise of more information soon and May 4th is right around the corner, so... Who knows. We might get a bit more information about this as soon as next week.

New Features & Content?

As you might imagine from the snippet of the information above, we don't really know what's coming in the next-gen version of the game (other than the same stuff that comes in the standard version of the game at the moment.)

We're expecting any additional Digital Deluxe content to be shipped with the next-gen version of the game, but other than that? It's anyone's guess

CUSTOM BLADE - This is one of the best parts of the game, right?

We would like to see more cosmetics options added to the game, as they felt fairly limited in terms of Cal Kestis' appearance.

Of course, more lightsaber customisation options would be incredible but this is one place where Jedi: Fallen Order excels.

For the latest on Jedi: Fallen Order, though, we can imagine that Respawn Entertainment's Twitter account is the best place to look.
