FIFA 24 Top 10 Ratings
FIFA 23 had five players battling for the top rating spot, with them all sharing a 91 OVR, and that status quo is yet to be upset.
The GOAT Lionel Messi is joined by his club partner and heir to the throne Kylian Mbappe, with mature sharpshooters Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema in the mix, and playmaker supreme Kevin De Bruyne rounding them off.
We think that the top of the tree will have a similar look at the start of FIFA 24, but potentially with Mbappe just edging ahead of the competition.
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk both started in the 90 Club, but have since been kicked out, and we think that Erling Haaland could gain a 90 OVR for the first time after continuing his sublime goalscoring form in the toughest league in the world!
Harry Kane has been overshadowed by the Norwegian's arrival, but is having a phenomenal season himself, and could see a return to a 90 OVR if he continues like he is for the rest of the season.
Casemiro's arrival at Manchester United has shown just what an influential and important figure he is and that could be rewarded with his first 90-rated card in FIFA history!
His Brazilian compatriot Neymar has some phenomenal numbers to back up his stellar performances and he may well have done enough to climb back into the 90s too.
Top 10:
- Kylian Mbappe (OVR 92)
- Karim Benzema (OVR 91)
- Kevin De Bruyne (OVR 91)
- Robert Lewandowski (OVR 91)
- Lionel Messi (OVR 91)
- Casemiro (OVR 90)
- Thibaut Courtois (OVR 90)
- Erling Haaland (OVR 90)
- Harry Kane (OVR 90)
- Neymar (OVR 90)
Upgrades
We've already touched on a few upgrades that could see Casemiro, Haaland, Kane and Neymar enter the 90 Club, but what other notable ones could there be?
Luka Modric continues to defy his age and after a superb World Cup could go up to an 89 OVR, especially if Real Madrid manages to claim another Champions League.
His Madrid teammate Federico Valverde has seen his rating increase by +2 to 86 OVR since the start of the game and it would not be surprising to see him retain that going into FIFA 24.
Bukayo Saka has also seen an increase of +2 and could see that boosted even further in the next title, potentially to an 85 OVR!
Notable Upgrades:
- Kylian Mbappe (OVR 91 → OVR 92)
- Casemiro (OVR 89 → OVR 90)
- Erling Haaland (OVR 88 →OVR 90)
- Harry Kane (OVR 89 → OVR 90)

- Luka Modric (OVR 88 → OVR 89)
- Jude Bellingham (OVR 84 → OVR 86)
- Federico Valverde (OVR 84 → OVR 86)
- Victor Osimhen (OVR 83 → OVR 85)
- Marcus Rashford (OVR 81 → OVR 85)
- Bukayo Saka (OVR 82 → OVR 85)

Downgrades
There have been some hefty downgrades throughout the FIFA 23 season which will probably be implemented at the start of FIFA 24.
Manuel Neuer, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk all dropped out of the 90 Club, down to 89 OVRs, but it was Cristiano Ronaldo who has seen one of the biggest downgrades, currently sitting on 87 OVR!
We think that EA may be a bit kinder to CR7 at the start of FIFA 24, especially as he is hitting hattricks for fun in an Al Nassr shirt, so an 88 OVR may be handed to the ageing striker.
Chelsea and Liverpool have both had underwhelming seasons so far, so a few players from both clubs are sure to see downgrades, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has already taken a hit from 87 OVR to 85 OVR in rating updates.
Notable Downgrades:
- Mohamed Salah (OVR 90 → OVR 89)
- Virgil van Dijk (OVR 90 → OVR 89)
- Manuel Neuer (OVR 90 → OVR 88)
- Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 90 → OVR 88)
- Heung Min Son (OVR 89 → OVR 88)
- N'Golo Kante (OVR 89 → OVR 87)
- Trent Alexander-Arnold (OVR 87 → OVR 85)
- Fabinho (OVR 87 → OVR 85)
- Kalidou Koulibaly (OVR 87 → OVR 85)
- Hugo Lloris (OVR 87 → OVR 85)
- Edouard Mendy (OVR 86 → OVR 83)
- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (OVR 85 → OVR 82)
- Jamie Vardy (OVR 85 → OVR 82)
FIFA 24 Highest Potential
Wonderkids are a key part of any Career Mode and that will be no different in FIFA 24.
Mbappe and Haaland will obviously retain the top two spots once again, but we think there could be some movement in the places below them.
We think that Gavi will gain the same treatment as Pedri did, earning a big upgrade to his overall and well as his potential!
Josko Gvardiol has shown that he can do it on the biggest stage and with plenty of clubs wanting his signature, he could become the best-rated defender in FIFA 24.
Red-hot Victor Osimhen is also capturing the eye of many suitors and if his scoring continues he could be in for a decent boost too!
Bukayo Saka continues to be one of Arsenal and England's best players, his overall will be increased, and we think that his potential will mirror that growth.
