The release of FIFA 24 is just around the corner, with a new era beginning in sports gaming.
With EA and FIFA parting ways, the game as we know it will now be named EA Sports FC.
Check below for everything you need to know about FIFA 24 Career Mode.
FIFA 24 Career Mode
Career Mode is one of the most loved features in FIFA, but it's clear that the mode has been neglected in recent years.
With that in mind, we're hoping for some new features to be announced soon.
New Features
Right now, we've had no confirmed new features for FIFA 24, but one major Career Mode spin-off has been confirmed.
FIFA 23 saw the arrival of new features across Career Mode and Player Career, but more new features are expected to be announced soon.
Online Career Mode
The FIFA community has been calling for an online Career Mode for many years, and many thought their wishes had been answered when a job listing surfaced in the lead-up to FIFA 22 for an 'Online Software Engineer' working on 'online career mode'.
The community was teased yet again at a behind-closed-doors press event when the FIFA 23 Gameplay Producer Sam Rivera said that an online Career Mode for EA SPORTS FC was "definitely being considered”.
However, it seems the community's prayers have finally been answered, with an online Career Mode confirmed for the first-ever EA Sports FC title, according to @UTSources on Twitter.
How will online Career Mode work?
We are in unprecedented times, so we can only speculate on how an online Career Mode could work in EA Sports FC at this moment.
There's a chance EA could integrate it as a PvP-style game mode where various teams in a league are controlled and managed by other random players.
However, this seems a bit of a stretch, and we think there's a greater possibility we see a more social mode introduced, allowing you and your friends to play together in a private league.
FIFA 24 Release Date
With FIFA 24 not even in development as of yet, a release date for the new title has not yet been set.
As for EA Sports FC, no release date has been confirmed just yet, so we can only speculate on when the game will hit the shelves.
The last four FIFA editions were released on the following dates:
- FIFA 20 - 24 September 2019
- FIFA 21 - 9 October 2020
- FIFA 22 - 27 September 2021
- FIFA 23 - 27 September 2022
We expect EA Sports FC's release to follow a similar pattern and with those dates in mind, it will likely be released on Friday, 29 September 2023, in keeping with the FIFA titles that have gone before.
