FIFA 23 will be released soon, which means it's time to start planning your started squads for this year's game.
The FUT 23 Web App will launch before the full game hits, giving you a chance to earn some valuable coins and capture some of your starter cards ahead of release.
We've created a budget Premier League starter squad that will compete with the best around and get you results during the early stages of the FUT cycle.
Nick Pope - GK
Nick Pope has been a favourite in FUT for a few seasons now, putting in performances that defy his rating.
We expect to see him given an 81 OVR this season (two less than in FUT 22), however, we still back him to give great protection to the goal.
Manuel Akanji - CB
This side will initially line up as a 3-4-3, so it is important there is mobility all over the park if you choose to stay with that in-game, as it is easy to find yourself with players out of position.
Manchester City's new signing Manuel Akanji is expected to have 80+ pace and defending, with a possible 82 OVR, making for a very meta choice.
Ben Godfrey - CB
Of course, it's another pacey CB we've opted for, with Ben Godfrey a popular early choice at the start of last season too.
With 90 Sprint Speed and 82 PHY, he will be a hard man to pass.
Joe Gomez - CB
Finishing off the fast back-three, Joe Gomez is another FUT favourite.
Although he is leaked to have taken a slight hit to his rating, coming as an 81 OVR in FIFA 23, he still possesses all the attributes to dominate the early meta.
Dejan Kulusevski - RM
The right and left midfielders will be coming back to help out defensively, so we've picked a couple that have some physicality to their game as well.
Spurs' Dejan Kulusevski is quite nimble for a player over 6'0", and can be a creative threat going forward.
Enock Mwepu - CM
Our two CM choices won't make the headlines, however, we think they will both do a top job at shielding the defence while also coming in at a very low price.
Enock Mwepu is very pacey for a CM and can be useful if you find him getting into the box.
Tyler Adams - CM
Much better defensively than getting forward, Leeds' new recruit Tyler Adams fits the bill for our FIFA 23 starter squad.
It looks like he will be downgraded to a 76 OVR, but his pace and work rate mean he can keep up with play and break up dangerous attacks.
Marcus Rashford - LM
Last year you wouldn't have seen Marcus Rashford anywhere near a starter squad, costing around 160,000 coins when FIFA 22 was released.
After a terrible season, it looks like his rating has plummeted from 85 OVR to 81 OVR, so he should now make a top, budget winger.
Adama Traore - RW
A starter squad simply has to include the pace merchant that is Adama Traore!
He's not the best at shooting or passing, but that's not what he's here for.
We expect Traore to be the second-fastest base card in the game, so he will be able to blitz past any defenders.
Alexander Isak - ST
Newcastle's new striker Alexander Isak gives a bit of everything up top.
He is pacey, a great finisher, and at 6'4" an easy target for you to hit in the box with crosses.
Allan Saint-Maximin - LW
Isak's Newcastle teammate has been the bane of many players' Ultimate Team experience - and he's set to be better than ever!
With 5* Skills, top dribbling and 90+ pace, Allan Saint-Maximin can ruin defenders, with his 79 OVR from FUT 22 set to increase to 81 OVR in FIFA 23.
