FIFA 23 is just around the corner, with a number of brand-new reveals showcasing exciting new features set to be added to the game.
That being said, the licensing battle between FIFA and eFootball continues to rumble on, with Konami landing the latest blow.
Check below to find out which team is the latest to side with eFootball.
World Cup Winners Sign
Konami has announced a new partnership with the French national team, becoming their official video game partner.
The partnership will incorporate many different commercial, imagery, and activation rights as KONAMI become the ‘Official Football Video Game Partner of the French National Team’.
The deal has been described 'multi-year' and will see the French national team integrated into eFootball.
Konami has been promising the integration of national teams for some time, and the announcement of securing the World Cup winners will certainly create some buzz.
FIFA 23 Inclusion
The good news for FIFA 23 fans is that the French national team will still remain a part of the FIFA 23 roster, but it remains to be seen if the side will feature in EA Sports FC moving forward.
This announcement is the latest in a series of blows to EA's licensing portfolio, with sides like Inter and AC Milan moving on, as well as the entire Mexican league departing FIFA and joining eFootball.
Whilst EA will be content with the return of Italian giants Juventus, they will no doubt be looking over their shoulders as Konami muscle in on securing some top national sides.
