FUT Heroes are returning for their second season in FIFA 23, and the ranks are set to be boosted considerably!
As FIFA 23 falls into a World Cup year, World Cup Heroes are arriving this season and you can guarantee one for your Ultimate Team through pre-orders.
Golden Boot winner leaked
So far we have had four World Cup Heroes confirmed, with Claudio Marchisio revealed in the Juventus confirmation.
The latest player to be 'leaked' ahead of the new roster announcement is lethal Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan.
Forlan was selected in the 2010 World Cup Team of the Tournament after finishing as the joint-top goalscorer.
With that pedigree, Forlan certainly fits the bill as a World Cup Hero.
We would guess that Forlan will feature as a La Liga Hero as that is where he spent the majority of his career.
World Cup Heroes CONFIRMED
FIFA 23 pre-order details have gone live, officially revealing World Cup Heroes arriving in FIFA 23.
If you pre-order the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition, you will receive a limited-time World Cup FUT Hero item.
Be aware, this deal expires on August 22.
Three new World Cup Heroes have been revealed by EA:
- Yaya Toure
- Park Ji-Sung
- Ricardo Carvalho
Marchisio has since been revealed too, and we expect more to follow shortly!

With FIFA 23 fast approaching, you can now pre-order all editions of the game.
Pre-Orders went live on Wednesday, 20 July at 12pm ET / 5pm BST.

EA x Marvel
Usually, leakers have to put in a bit of work to uncover details not intended for public knowledge.
This time, though, EA shot itself in the foot by releasing an image early that reveals a new partnership we didn't see coming.
Accompanying a graphic for the new FUT Heroes cards, the Marvel logo sits proudly next to FIFA 23.
That's right, it looks like superheroes will be swooping into FUT 23!
The image was quickly taken down from the website, but not before it did the rounds on socials.
