Take a look at the latest Featured Squad below and see if you have what it takes to beat it.
Featured Squad Battle
Squad Battles are the offline version of division rivals, with various weekly ranks and rewards.
This week’s featured squad, selected by Brazilian World Cup-winning captain Cafu, boasts several of the game’s best players and some fan favourites too!
Defence
There are no less than seven Brazilian players in Cafu’s starting XI, with three of them starting in defence.
As the highest-rated RB/RWB in the game, it is hardly a surprise to see Cafu lining up in the right-back position!
On the opposite side is Real Madrid star, Marcelo. He may be past his best now, but Marcelo is one of the best of his generation and a worthy selection.
Cafu’s centre-back pairing sees Marquinhos (Team of the Year) joined by his PSG teammate Sergio Ramos (Ones to Watch).
Behind this all-star defence is another PSG hero, Gianluigi Donnarumma. One of the top goalkeepers in the game, Donnarumma’s Team of the Year item will be tough to beat.
Midfield
The midfield quartet has a distinctly Brazilian feel too, starting with Casemiro’s Rulebreakers item as the CDM.
Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is the man chosen on the right side of midfield, and his Team of the Year item is phenomenal.
Completing the midfield four are two Brazilian legends, with Cafu’s World Cup-winning teammate Ronaldinho on the left.
Behind the two strikers is one of the greatest players of all time, Pele. His 98 OVR Prime Icon will prove tough to stop for any defence, so you will need to bring you’re a game!
Attack
Long has the debate raged on about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and Cafu has also had his say on the matter… by selecting neither of them!
Instead, Cafu has selected Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski up front, indicating who he feels should be the highest-rated player in FIFA 23.
It will be the end of an era when Messi does not rule the roost at the top of the FIFA ratings, and we expect the Polish forward to be among the players competing to take his place.
Both Messi and Ronaldo were selected on the bench for Cafu, but it is a sign of the times when neither makes the starting XI.
Alongside Lewandowski in Cafu’s strike force is Neymar, and his Winter Wildcards ST item is worth nearly 3 million coins in FUT 22.
