FIFA 22 Best Right Backs: English stars reign SUPREME at RB

EA Play members are eating into their 10-hour trial, with Early Access for those that brought the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 22 coming on Monday, 27 September.

We have now got a full picture of player ratings on the game, and can't wait to get them into our teams on Career Mode and Ultimate Team.

Finding a top-quality right-back will not only protect your defensive flank but can prove an attacking threat as well.

Here are the best right-backs on FIFA 22 that can provide that threat.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (OVR 87)

Trent Alexander-Arnold is once again the best right-back on the game.

Despite not having lightning pace he will still be a top pick for many, due to his great ability on the ball.

His campaign last season dipped in and out of form, much like his Liverpool team, but there is no doubting his ability.

Still only 22, he will be on many players transfer lists on Career Mode.

Joao Cancelo (OVR 86)

Is he a right-back? Is he a left-back? Is he a centre-mid? It doesn't really matter.

Joao Cancelo was instrumental in helping Manchester City to the Premier League title last season, in a role that saw him tuck into midfield as opposed to hugging the touchline.

Very much like Alexander-Arnold, but with a bit more pace, their total stats are separated by just two points.

Achraf Hakimi (OVR 85)

Bound to be many players' top choice right-back due to his 95 PAC, Achraf Hakimi has had a club change to PSG and a position change from a RM since FIFA 21.

A very attacking option as a RB, he also has pretty good physicality so can bully most wingers.

He already has three goals and two assists in seven Ligue 1 matches, so seems to have settled well into his new club.

Dani Carvajal (OVR 85)

Another high rating for the Real Madrid man, despite only making 13 La Liga appearances last term.

In those games, he still managed four assists, which probably helped with him only taking -1 from his previous overall rating.

A very solid all-rounder, and easy to link with other Spaniards on FUT.

Kyle Walker (OVR 85)

Another Man City player, Kyle Walker is one of a plethora of top-class English right-backs.

With his incredible pace and physical attributes, Walker will once again be a popular man in Ultimate Team.

Not as capable on the ball as others on this list, he can still cause havoc when getting into open space due to his speed.

Ricardo Pereira (OVR 84)

Injury saw Ricardo Pereira out for most of last season, and he is another that has taken a slight hit to his rating because of it.

He is back with Leicester now though and has two assists in five Premier League games this season, so will be looking for an upgrade during the year.

Kieran Trippier (OVR 84)

The third (and not the last) Englishman on the list, Kieran Trippier was an everpresent in Atletico Madrid's title-winning team - when he was available.

That saw him play another important role for England at Euro 2020, providing the assist in the final that eventually became futile.

Jesus Navas (OVR 84)

He doesn't have the same lightning pace of old, but at 35 Jesus Navas still has a very impressive 87 PAC.

He has adapted his game well to become a right-back, with decent defensive attributes.

However, with only 39 Strength, he is likely to lose most physical battles.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (OVR 83)

The last of FOUR English players on the list, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is probably the most defensively stable.

But, that comes at the cost of also being the worst going forward.

His attacking game is improving at Manchester United, so in the future we could see him nearer the top of the list.

Juan Cuadrado (OVR 83)

Another older player who has seen his position pushed back with age, Juan Cuadrado still provides an attacking threat for Piemonte Calcio.

He provided 19 assists last season, with six of those coming in six Champions League games.

That saw his overall rating increase by +2, and as an all-out attacking right-back, it's hard to find better.
