What to expect from eFootball at Gamescom 2021
We can have a pretty good guess at what Konami will reveal at Gamescom 2021.
Release Date
Konami has only given a rough time of release for eFootball so far, but we're hoping that changes this week!
As you can see in the roadmap above, eFootball will arrive in 'early Autumn', so we can expect the new game to drop in late September 2021.
We've got our fingers crossed that Konami reveals an official release date at Gamescom 2021!
Trailer
Konami has released two eFootball trailers so far.
These trailers include the original reveal trailer, which you can watch below, and the MLS announcement trailer which dropped just this week.
However, we are hoping to see much more of the new eFootball franchise at Gamescom.
We have seen very little of the actual gameplay in these trailers and we'd love to know the differences between PES 2021 and eFootball's styles of play.
On top of this, we are still very unclear of which game modes will be returning to Konami's new game, and how they will differ from previous years.
So, perhaps we will get a MyClub or Master League teaser at Gamescom 2021?
Cover Star
Although Lionel Messi has been the main feature of the new franchise's advertisement so far, we do not have official confirmation of the cover star just yet.
The new Paris Saint Germain star is definitely the most likely candidate to become the cover star, but could his Brazilian teammate join him?
We believe Neymar Jr could partner Messi on the cover of eFootball, after Konami announced he has become the newest ambassador for the franchise.
We'd love the official cover star to be revealed at Gamescom 2021 this week.
