Nike SNKRS has revealed a new Air Jordan 5 released named the "Dark Concord" colourway that looks to bring a touch of the '90s into the 21st Century.

The name is a reference to the original Jordan 11 "Concord" launched in 1995, which is widely regarded as one of the best Air Jordans ever made, because the sneakers arrive in an almost identical colour scheme.

This isn't the first time Nike has played off a previous colourway for a new release, as the "25 Years In China" 12s have been compared to the infamous "Taxi" colourway from 1996 thanks to their similar black and white designs.

That said, we're focusing solely on the new "Dark Concord" 5s in this article. With that in mind, here's everything we know about the sneakers so far.

Air Jordan 5 Dark Concord Release Date

Despite rumours of their arrival in July, then again on 13 August, Nike's official listing has now confirmed that the "Dark Concord" 5s are out now as of 6 August 2022.

It's also been confirmed that the sneakers are available in full family sizing, which includes big kids', little kids', and toddler variants.

We'd recommend acting fast to secure your pair though as these sneakers could sell out quickly given their retro design that's based on one of the most iconic Air Jordan colourways of all time.

Air Jordan 5 Dark Concord Design

As mentioned, the "Dark Concord" 5s play off the classic white and black colour scheme of the 1995 "Concord" 11s.

However, the design has been slightly adjusted to fit the Jordan 5 model. As a result, the sneakers are made predominately from white leather, whilst the midsole units add the black elements seen on the 1995 colourway.

Hits of deep purple can then be found around the interior trim alongside the insoles and Jumpman logos on the tongues and heels.

Moreover, the same purple tone dresses the Jordan 5's unique lace toggles to tie the entire "Dark Concord" colour scheme together.

Underneath you'll find icy-blue, translucent rubber outsoles which match the reflective, silvery material added to the tongues to complete the retro look.
