Nike has revealed a new Air Jordan 12 Low colourway titled "25 Years In China" released in celebration of the brand's cross-over into Asia in the late '90s.

The design plays off Tinker Hatfield's original "Taxi" design from 1996, which is widely regarded to be one of the best Jordan 12 colourways of all time, by featuring the iconic white and black colour scheme.

However, rather than a complete retro remake of the original "Taxi" 12s, Nike has opted to add a few unique details to mark the special occasion.

With that in mind, here's everything we know about the new "25 Years In China" Jordan 12s so far...

Air Jordan 12 Low 25 Years In China Release Date

Nike SNKRS confirms that the "25 Years In China" low-tops are out now as of 4 August 2022

Air Jordan 12 Low 25 Years In China Design

As mentioned, the "25 Years In China" colourway is reminiscent of one of the best Air Jordan ever made as it features the classic white and black colour scheme in the original blocking of the "Taxi" 12s.

However, there are a few key differences to note, the first being the crystal-like, holographic pattern across the mudguards and side panels to contrast the premium white leather uppers.

Another noticeable alteration is the top lace hooks which come dressed in white rather than metallic gold seen on the original 1996 design.

The sneakers also arrive with special edition insole graphics as well as a "Next Stop Dongdan Streetball Tournament" logo on the heels that pays homage to one of the most recognisable streetball courts in China.

Rounding off the design is the shoe's unique packaging that features special "25 Years In China" graphics alongside the usual Jordan branding.
