NHL 22: Team of the Year REVEALED & dynamic HUT items confirmed

The official NHL 22 Team of the Year has now been revealed! There were tons of players on the shortlist, but they have been narrowed down to just six players.

Now the official players have been selected, you can add them to your Hockey Ultimate Team roster!

Let's take a look at the NHL 22 Team of the Year and their new dynamic HUT items.

TOTY Confirmed

Without further ado, take a look at the six Team of the Year players, one for each position in HUT 22.

• Andrei Vasilevski - As the backstopper for the back-to-back champion Tampa Bay Lightning, Vasilevskiy won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the 2021 Playoffs.
• Victor Hedman - The Swedish alternate captain for the defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning, Hedman is widely considered to be one of the best players in his position in the NHL.
• Adam Fox - Fox of the New York Rangers won the 2020-2021 Norris Trophy as the league’s top defenceman.

• Mikko Rantanen - Finnish forward and alternate captain for the Colorado Avalanche, Rantanen continues his young NHL career at a stellar pace averaging more than a point per game.
• Connor McDavid - Canadian centre and captain of the Edmonton Oilers, McDavid is regarded as the best player in the NHL by fans and his peers and is one of only two unanimous Hart Trophy (MVP) winners in league history joining Wayne Gretsky.
• Brad Marchand - Canadian left winger and alternate captain for the Boston Bruins, Marchand was named to the NHL’s First All-Star Team for the 2021 season, marking the second time Marchand’s been selected as the league’s top left-wing.

Each player selected in the Team of the Year will receive a dynamic HUT item matching their highest rating from the past year.

These items will be available in HUT packs, or by completing sets before Friday, 7 January, so you best hurry!

Rewards available when NHL 22 TOTY is announced

As we mentioned above, each player will receive their own special rewards once they're officially selected to the NHL 22 Team of the Year.

For starters, every TOTY winner will receive a special HUT item that matches their highest rating. These are only going to be available in HUT packs and sets. That isn't the only reward available.

Every member of the NHL 22 Team of the Year will receive limited-edition, one-of-a-kind pieces of equipment that could potentially make their way into Hockey Ultimate Team.
