PES 2020: Konami secure Euro 2020 partnership over FIFA 20

The football war continues as PES is set to deliver UEFA's flagship tournament, not EA.

After years of FIFA dominance, the world of football gaming has been shaken this year, and no game has even been released.

Konami’s PES title is back in a big way this year, and it has sparked a football war that we have not seen before.

PES kicked it off by securing exclusive rights to Juventus, condemning FIFA 20 to using Piemento Calcio.

Yesterday FIFA announced a new partnership with the Bundesliga that would include new stadiums, face scans, and broadcast packages. This came just hours after Konami confirmed it would have full licensing for Italy’s Serie A

PES 2020 secures Euro 2020 rights

World Cup rights have long been in EA’s hands, but this year Euro 2020 will be in Konami’s corner, with the full tournament being a DLC for PES 2020.

The 2020 Q2 DLC will bring over 50 national teams to the game, including current champions Portugal. Along with the official national teams will come team kits, crests, and players.
