2K Support have Tweeted out acknowledging the disconnection issues many players are having in MyCAREER with the new error code.
This means the 2K team is on the case, and we expect to hear updates along the way as they arrive at a solution to get players connected and back to grinding in MyCAREER.

NBA 2K22 servers are currently down for many next gen players, likely in connection with the new NBA 2K21 1.4 update on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
This has led to many getting the 4894194b error code, with this message attached - "There is a problem with your connection to our online services. Please visit http://www.NBA2K.com/status for up to date information".
While the NBA 2K22 server status page currently states all servers are up and running, many players are still seeing disconnects.
With the server status page still in the green, we expect the issue might be a short one with a quick fix either in store or already being deployed.
