Legends Edition cover star?

The first NBA 2K21 cover athlete has been announced!

To celebrate the cross-generational moment we find ourselves in, this cover star will be on the current-generation platforms.

NBA 2K21 Cover Athlete

Damian Lillard will be the cover athlete for NBA 2K21!

The Trail Blazers point guard will feature with his signature skywalking dunk on this amazing cover.

As cover athlete for current-gen platforms, Lillard will take center stage on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and Stadia.

"This is a special moment for me in my NBA career." said Lillard.

"I’ve been a fan of NBA 2K for years and love how they represent all aspects of basketball culture. I’ve been playing 2K my whole life and I’m honored to join the other NBA greats who have been on the cover. I’m grateful to all my fans and can’t wait for everyone to experience this game later this year."

So what about next-gen?

The PS5 and Xbox Series X covers will have a separate cover star.

NBA 2K21 Zion Williamson Hype Still from PS5 Teaser Trailer

After his feature appearance in the NBA 2K21 announcement trailer we expect Zion Williamson to be the man for next-gen players.

Of course, that still leaves one more cover star as 2K has promised three of them...

Legends Edition cover star?

We think the third star will be a cross-generational Legends Edition cover for the iconic Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers icon lost his life in a tragic helicopter accident in January 2020.

With the NBA world still mourning the loss, it would be a fantastic tribute for 2K to dedicate a version of the game to one of the most impactful athletes in the 21st century.
