Valorant's next major update is out and Riot Games' tactical shooter is one year old! It's a little hard to believe, but there's a few new goodies available to celebrate. Here's everything we know about the Year One Event Pass.
LATEST - The Event Pass Is Live Right Now!
The celebratory Year One Event Pass has finally gone live in Valorant, following the release of Episode 3 Act 1. This is going to offer up a series of free rewards for players to earn just by playing the game!
Reports are that it will last until Version 3.01 is released, which means we could see the next major Valorant update drop on July 7th.
Here's what Riot Games had to say about the Year One Event Pass in the Patch Notes 3.0:
- Happy anniversary VALORANT! To celebrate we have added a new Year One Event Pass—this is similar to a Battlepass but it's completely free and has some really cool goodies.
- This will be active for the duration of Patch 3.0 and will only last till 3.01 goes live. So remember to get your goodie bag before the party ends.
Event Pass Start Date & Duration
At the moment, we don't know that much about Valorant's YR1 Event Pass. It's a bit of a mystery, in truth. However, Riot Games has revealed when the Valorant YR1 Event Pass is due to be released for all Valorant players and how long it will be available.
As it stands, the Valorant YR1 Event Pass is due to start on June 22nd and it will last a couple of weeks, finishing up on June 7th.
We're expecting things to start mid-afternoon, looking at previous updates and events. Although, we can't really be confident in assigning a specific time to this just yet. We're expecting Riot Games to share more as we get closer to release. They've still got to share more about Valorant Mobile, too.
Event Rewards & More
We now know the following items are going to be included in the Year One Event Pass:
- Year One gun buddy,
- Year One player card,
- Episode Three Reflection player card,
- YR1 and Year One titles,
- 20 Radianite Points.

Again, we don't really know too much about Valorant's YR1 Event Pass just yet. All we know so far is the following from Riot Games' Year One Announcements post...
" Even though it’s technically our birthday, there’s another gift to you: the YR1 Event Pass—free for everyone.
" No prerequisites, no VP spend, just 7 levels of exclusive YR1 items like the Episode 3 Player Card, a Gun Buddy, and more. Just play VALORANT, earn XP, and unlock."
The Valorant YR1 Event Pass is going to come with 7 levels of in-game rewards for players to unlock simply by earning XP in-game. These include a new Gun Buddy, the Episode 3 Player Card, and more.
We're expecting ValorLeaks to share more in the future, as they usually reveal information about upcoming Valorant content ahead of an official announcement. For now, you can claim some free PRIDE-inspired Player Cards in the tweet below:
