UFL grabbed the limelight last year with the announcement of Cristiano Ronaldo as an ambassador, but since then things have gone quiet for the upcoming football title.
As far as licenses go, UFL has already secured some of Europe's top clubs as official game partners, although a major duo seems to have vanished from the website.
Licenses are always a key issue with football titles, so make sure you know which clubs have teamed up with UFL.
Latest - Alpha Gameplay revealed
Some all-new EFL gameplay has been revealed with the Alpha Gameplay having been showcased last month.
The gameplay showcases almost a full match of UFL, giving us a taste of the stadia, commentary and player movements.
The recent update is the most significant we have seen so far, with the game's release getting closer and closer now.
The release of UFL gameplay has certainly got the football community talking as well, with many wondering what this will all mean for the future of football gaming.
ALL Partner Clubs
Premier League club West Ham was the first team revealed as a partner for UFL as their home, the London Stadium, featured in the official reveal trailer.
This likely means that all the stadiums from licensed clubs will feature in the game true to likeness, a big positive for the game!
German side Borussia Monchengladbach has also joined the high-profile European side to be revealed as a premium partner for UFL.
2020-21 Portuguese champions Sporting CP, Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk, Scottish rivals Rangers and Celtic, and Bayer Leverkusen have also been shown off as UFL partners.
However, since being revealed as partners, both Glasgow clubs have mysteriously disappeared from the official UFL website.
This indicates that neither club will feature in the game when it is released, a blow to Scottish football fans!
Current UFL partner club list:
- West Ham
- Borussia Monchengladbach
- Sporting CP
- Shakhtar Donetsk
- AS Monaco
- Besiktas
- Bayer Leverkusen
Cristiano Ronaldo
As part of the gameplay trailer, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was revealed an official ambassador of the game.
The former Manchester United forward's move to UFL came as a shock to many as his previous employers are linked with Konami's eFootball.
A brief cameo from the man himself in the gameplay reveal introduces the trailer, and we loved it.
His inclusion in the game should not be affected by his switch to Saudi Arabia, although the Saudi Pro League and Al Nassr do currently feature in EA's FIFA 23.
What is UFL?
We still don't know a huge amount about UFL, but we do know it will be free-to-play!
The likes of Hashtag United are already involved as one of the sponsors, and Premier League high-flyers West Ham appear to be heavily involved too!
The London Stadium can be seen in the reveal trailer, with cinematics of the ground also available on the UFL Game Twitter page.
A release date for the game is yet to be confirmed, but will surely be on the way soon.
