Although the game is still a work in progress, UFL has attracted much excitement and is ready to shake up the football gaming landscape when it arrives.
The developers, new company Strikerz Inc., pride themselves on being transparent with the work that is going into the game and getting fans involved in the process.
Find out all you need to know about the stadiums in UFL below, including which real-world ones will be included, and the atmosphere designers are creating.
WATCH HERE - Stadiums Showcased
Episode #1 of the UFL Journey series will focus on the stadiums in the game, taking a look at the atmosphere, environment and equipment within.
The video will go live at 12pm ET / 5pm BST on Thursday, 1 September, and you can check it out below.
Release Date
Unfortunately, but somewhat predictably, the release date for UFL has been delayed.
Announced personally by CEO Eugene Nashilov, it was clear he was disappointed the title was delayed, but clear that they wanted to deliver the best game possible.
It is apparently 80% complete and will now be released in 2023, with another update coming in December for when we can expect to see the game.
The game has been in development since 2016, but included in that time has been the building of Strikerz Inc. as a company, which came into existence at the same time.
Stadiums
Although no real-world stadiums have been officially announced as being included, based on partner clubs and previously released clips we have a good idea of what ones will feature.
The following clubs have partnered with UFL:
- West Ham
- Borussia Monchengladbach
- Celtic
- Rangers
- Sporting CP
- Shaktar Donetsk
- AS Monaco
- Besiktas
This means we will expect to see the London Stadium, Borussia-Park, Celtic Park, Ibrox Stadium, Estadio Jose Alvalade, Donbass Arena (or the NSC Olympiyskiy), Stade Louis II and Vodafone Park all feature.
The London Stadium has already featured in trailers, with West Ham being the first partner club revealed.
It is unclear if Celtic and Rangers are still official partners, with both Scottish sides now licensed with EA and their crests have been taken down from the UFL website.
Concept Stadiums
As well as the real-world stadiums being recreated within UFL, there will be other options provided too.
A generic stadium, the Estadio do Redentor, has already been displayed, with developers still adding extra little touches to get the feel just right, and more generic options are expected.
UFL is also partnered with semi-professional side Hashtag United, and will be creating a virtual stadium for the club!
The side has been looking for their very own stadium after having to share with other teams since turning semi-pro.
