Naraka Bladepoint has had a successful open beta and is now out on PC. Where does this leave console players, though? Is 24 Entertainment's evolution on the battle royale genre coming to consoles anytime soon?
Naraka Bladepoint is now out on PC
Naraka Bladepoint is now fully out on Steam and, as expected, we haven't heard anything about its' release on consoles just yet. We know PS5 is likely to be the first destination for 24 Entertainment's battle royale, but it could be several months until we hear more as PC has priority.
" The battlefield is all set! Master over 30 melee techniques and 40 unique abilities!"
There are rumours that Sony is holding a "Future of Gaming" showcase next month. If we're lucky, we'll learn more then...
Naraka: Bladepoint Console Release: PS5, Xbox, & Nintendo Switch
In an interview with The Loadout, 24’s overseas marketing manager Raylan Kwan, mentioned that while the PC launch is taking precedence, the studio desires to get Naraka: Bladepoint to consoles before the year finishes.
Although most games launch on several or all platforms at the same time, Kwan explains that the process in getting the game on consoles will take longer because of the studio’s small team and the factor that titles originating in China seldom get console ports.
As excited as we all are, it looks like console users might have to wait a little bit for the title to arrive on PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Release Date
As reported, Naraka: Bladepoint is set to be released on August 12th. The game is not free to play and will be available for a one time cost. The prices are as follows: the base edition will be available at $19.99.
It is also $34.99 for Deluxe Edition and $49.99 for Ultimate and because it does not have a subscription after you purchase it, you will be able to play the game as much as you want.
While waiting for new updates about the console release, Naraka: Bladepoint can be pre-ordered through Steam and Epic Games. Receive bonus items with your order until August 12th!
