There is no better feeling than signing a 17-year-old and developing him to become world-class.
But what defines a wonderkid? We believe it is someone who starts the game aged 19 or under.
These players should have a decent current ability (CA), but more importantly extremely high potential ability (PA). You can view CA & PA in the Football Manager Editor.

Rennes star midfielder was a must-have in last year's game and Football Manager 2022 will be no different.
Camavinga is one of only three players to have made 200+ tackles in Europe’s top five leagues since the start of the 2019/2020 season so you can see why he is the next target of Manchester United.
Regardless of whether he moves to Manchester United, keep an eye out for this wonderkid as he is sure to give your team a huge boost for years to come.

Football Manager fans rejoiced when Moukoko was added to the game in the winter update last year, and it’s easy to see why.
On Football Manager 2021, at just 15 years old, Moukoko already had 15 finishing, 14 dribbling, and 13 acceleration which only improved as the years went on.
Moukoko was so highly regarded he was even dubbed the “best wonderkid in FM history” – no pressure for next year’s game.

Ansu Fati is far from an unknown at this point having already played 43 games for Barcelona but that does not stop him from being a wonderkid.
Although you may have to break the banking signing this18-year-old, he’s worth every penny.
A natural on the wings or up top and with 19 flair, 17 agility, and 16 dribbling on last year’s game, Fati is guaranteed to dance around opposition players like they’re not even there.

Another Barcelona wonderkid who is currently proving he’s definitely one for the future with Spain at Euro 2020.
In Football Manager 2022, Pedri could even move into that 170 – 200 PA range as he played most games for Barcelona last season which has only helped him develop even further.
Despite commanding a hefty price tag, Pedri could become your team's next Andrés Iniesta.
FM21 CA / PA: 125 / 160 – 190
Despite their financial troubles, Barcelona isn’t short of future stars.
Moriba played 14 times in LaLiga last season scoring 1 goal and picking up 3 assists – not bad for a teenager.
Thankfully, Moriba is valued slightly less than Pedri and Fati but don’t let that fool you, you’ll still need a lot of money to be able to sign him in next year’s game.

A slightly more affordable wonderkid in Demir.
Football Manager fans will recognise his name from last year’s game, and he looks set to remain a wonderkid having played 25 times in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
Whether you play him as an inverted winger or as an advanced playmaker, Demir will certainly benefit anyone managing a slightly lower reputation team compared to Europe’s elite clubs.

Having made England’s squad for Euro 2020 and featuring in 46 games for Borussia Dortmund last season, Bellingham looks to be a top prospect on Football Manager 2022.
Jude is so versatile he can play almost anywhere in the midfield, but we reckon his best role is as a Mezzala in the centre.
Bellingham probably won’t come cheap but is certainly a young English talent to invest in for the future.
Club: Olympique Lyon

Cherki is not a household name right now, but he can definitely turn into one in your Football Manager saves.
Despite only being 17, Cherki played in 27 games for Olympique Lyon in Ligue 1 last season and will hopefully build on that next year.
Look out for him in your Football Manager saves because he is one who could become one of the best players in the game before you know it.
