EA has just announced a new partnership with one of the top leagues in world football!

Initially leaked last week, it is now confirmed that the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the National Women's Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA) have partnered with EA to bring a brand new league to FIFA 23.

Additional licences not only mean we will see more players in the title but also more authenticity in the game, with the deal expected to carry over into EA Sports FC 24 and beyond.

NWSL available now!

It's official - the National Women's Soccer League is in FIFA 23 now.

The National Women's Soccer League is the top women's professional league in the U.S. and the EA Sports FIFA Twitter page has announced that all 12 clubs are playable in-game right now.

The 12 NWSL teams are available to use in Kick Off, Tournament Mode, Head to Head season / Co-op Seasons and Online Friendlies.

You will need to make sure you have the latest version of FIFA 23 downloaded in order to access the National Women's Soccer League in-game.

EA x NWSL

Of course, the partnership means all the club kits will be fully authentic, and with EA getting a deal with the National Women's Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA), you can expect to see all your favourite players from the league take to the field too!

Check out the announcement video below:

As well as the clubs and players, four NWSL stadiums will be added to FIFA 23, with trophies and celebrations put in the mix too.

The 11th season of the NWSL kicks off on Saturday, 25 March, so the addition drops just in time to celebrate the new campaign.

Women's club football arrived for the first time in FIFA 23, with the WSL and Div 1 Arkema featuring in this year's game.

EA previously provided the following statement:

"Play as women’s club teams for the first time in EA SPORTS FIFA history as the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema come to FIFA 23 at launch. Plus, enjoy dedicated HyperMotion2 capture that powers the women’s game to make female players move authentically in FIFA 23.
