FUT Season 6 is underway in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and it's set to be a big one with the game's biggest event taking place for the duration.

The Team of the Seasons Warm Up Series will still be in effect for a short time, which means that the main Team of the Season campaign is up next, which will dominate the season.

FUT Season 6 Release Date

Season 6 of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team kicked off on Thursday, 27 April and will end on Thursday, 8 May.

The new season went live in FUT at 3am ET / 8am BST, bringing with it a host of new content that will be available for six weeks.

Storyline Player Picks

We were hoping for more Storyline Player Picks in FUT Season 6, but EA has offered up something better!

EA has switched the formula up a bit in FIFA 23, with no picks coming in Season 3 and just one player (two versions of Future Stars Folarin Balogun) coming in Season 4.

Season 5 returned to the usual pick of three players at Level 15 and three more at Level 30, with 85 OVR and 88 OVR given to each trio.

However, in Season 6, there are player picks every five levels, with the choice between a top-rated new player item, or a high-value pack!

This is similar to what happened in Season 3 when the Team of the Year event was in full swing.

As always, the new season will offer plenty of rewards including packs, tifos, badges, and other consumables.

Promo Overview

FUT Season 6 will only contain the one FIFA 23 Ultimate Team promo, but it's the big one!

Team of the Season will start on Friday, 28 April, and then is expected to run for seven weeks, all culminating in the Ultimate TOTS squad!

Although it hasn't been made official by EA, the predicted release schedule for each squad is as follows:

BEST OF THE BEST - The Ultimate TOTS side showcases the worlds top talents

Although unlikely, for those that don't know what Team of the Season is, it is an annual celebration of the best-performing players from leagues around the world.

Full squads from the major leagues and smaller squads from various others are released, all containing players with huge ratings.

There will be plenty of SBC and Objective items too, and we will likely see some Team of the Season Moments added, with Campaign Icons and FUT Heroes surely getting involved too, as well as the possible inclusion of TOTS Swaps.
