FIFA 23 will be released soon, and it won't be long until we get our first look at some of the brand-new ratings for each team.
Check below to see our predictions for how Chelsea could look in this year's game, with the ratings being used throughout the Ultimate Team season and at the start of Career Mode.
Top Players
Chelsea didn't manage to make a bid for the title, despite a strong start to the season, but they still finished in a Champions League spot.
There have been some varying performances throughout the side which could lead to many rating changes in FIFA 23, and we expect their three highest-rated stars to be:
N'Golo Kante (OVR 90)
N'Golo Kante hasn't had the best season of his career, but we're still backing him to keep his 90 OVR and remain the best-rated player in the Chelsea squad.
When he is fit there are very few in world football who can rival him in midfield.
Thiago Silva (OVR 86)
Showing that age is just a number, Thiago Silva has been silky at the heart of Chelsea's defence.
His reading of the game is exceptional, and even though he is losing pace by the day, his experience keeps him ahead of most opposition.
Edouard Mendy (OVR 86)
The Chelsea keeper has been very reliable for most of the time this campaign and has seen a jump in rating from the start of FIFA 22, going from 83 OVR to 86 OVR.
We don't see any reason why his rating will drop, and with a certain striker likely to be downgraded and possibly leave the club, Mendy comes in as Chelsea's third highest-rated player.
Transfers
Chelsea is now in the post-Abramovic era, so we wait to see if the same war chest is available to the manager.
With the confirmed departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen - and with Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta also wanting out - they will definitely need some reinforcements at the back.
They are yet to make any new signings, but the rumours are swirling around a few players, with Jules Kounde being high on the list.
Perhaps most surprising is that Raheem Sterling could make the move from Manchester City to the capital.
They are also apparently looking to bring in Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona and Milan Skriniar from Inter.

Upgrades
We've already mentioned a couple of players (in Mendy and Thiago Silva) who will likely gain an upgrade, with one surely on the cards for Mason Mount as well.
The Englishman was the side's top scorer and provided the most assists, and we could see him being boosted from 83 OVR to 85 OVR.

- Thiago Silva (85 OVR → 86 OVR)
- Eduoard Mendy (83 OVR → 86 OVR)
- Mason Mount (83 OVR → 85 OVR)
- Reece James (81 OVR → 83 OVR)

Downgrades
There was so much excitement when Romelu Lukaku returned to Chelsea, but the signing has been such a disappointment that it looks like he'll be leaving the side in the summer.
If he does happen to stay he will surely get the biggest downgrade in the Chelsea side, after starting FIFA 22 as an 88-rated player!
Notable Downgrades:
- Romelu Lukaku (88 OVR → 85 OVR)
- Timo Werner (84 OVR → 83 OVR)
- Hakim Ziyech (84 OVR → 83 OVR)
- Ross Barkley (78 OVR → 76 OVR)
