The Shapeshifters promo has returned in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, taking over from the Team of the Season campaign.
Team 1 and 2 brought footballing superstars to the game, with both Messi and Ronaldo receiving 99 OVR cards.

Team 3 has now been released, and now it's time for the FUT Heroes to take centre stage.

The third Shapeshifters squad has just been released, with 11 more cards coming to packs.
There are plenty of brilliant players included once again, with five FUT Heroes getting an upgrade in the release.
David Ginola (OVR 98)
The man that fans were crying out for has arrived, with a shapeshifted striker version of David Ginola coming to FUT 22.
He will be class in-game, and his league has also changed to the Premier League, giving him links to some of the best cards around.
Franck Ribery (OVR 98)
Joining Ginola with a 98 OVR card is Franck Ribery, adding to some astonishing cards released for Serie A.
The Frenchman has maximum dribbling and gained a hefty pace upgrade, so you can relive his glory days if you choose to use him.
Marcus Rashford (OVR 97)
Along with Ginola, Marcus Rashford looks like the best card from the release.
You can now play him through the middle on full chem, with his position changed to a CAM.
He is one of three players from Team 3 to have 90+ pace, shooting, passing, dribbling and physicality!
Mario Gomez (OVR 95)
The physical German Mario Gomez has had a real switch up, moving from striker to centre-back.
Despite the change, he keeps his brilliant shooting stats and looks like a brilliant new addition to your defensive line.
Federico Valverde (OVR 95)
He's been changed to a RWB, but we think you will see Federico Valverde utilised as a centre-back quite a lot!
With brilliant stats all-round and 98 PAC, he looks set to be a beast in-game.

Shapeshifters
The Shapeshifters promo was first seen in FIFA 20, although it didn't reappear in FIFA 21, so we already knew what sort of mechanics to expect.
As always, the promo players will receive massive boosts, but they will also have their cards transformed, with changes coming to player positions, work rates, weak foot ability, and updated attributes to better suit their new position.
A squad will be released into packs, with a couple of objective players made available when the event kicks off, as well as a few SBCs coming throughout the campaign.
Release Date
The Shapeshifters promo launched on Friday, 17 June at 1pm ET / 6pm BST - the same time that the Ultimate TOTS rotated out of packs.
Team 2 replaced Team 1 in packs on Friday, 24 June at 1pm ET / 6pm BST, becoming available for a further week, before rotating out on Friday, 1 July.
Team 3 arrived on Friday, 1 July, with new players landing in packs at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
