Release Date
The Shapeshifters promo launched on Friday, 17 June at 1pm ET / 6pm BST - the same time that the Ultimate TOTS rotated out of packs.
The event has lasted longer than many expected, with Team 4 set to be the final release, which will rotate out of packs on Friday, 15 July.
Shapeshifters
The Shapeshifters promo was first seen in FIFA 20, although it didn't reappear in FIFA 21, so we already knew what sort of mechanics to expect.
As always, the promo players will receive massive boosts, but they will also have their cards transformed, with changes coming to player positions, work rates, weak foot ability, and updated attributes to better suit their new position.
Four squads have been released into packs, with a couple of objective players made available with each side, as well as a few SBCs coming throughout the campaign.
Shapeshifters had two squad releases in FIFA 20, and EA has matched and exceeded that, becoming a bumper four-week event!
Team 1
The Shapeshifters promo has come to FIFA 22!
The leaks were proved correct once again, with some insane cards released, including two who boast 90+ in all their base stats.
Lionel Messi headlines the side with a 99 OVR card, but it is perhaps Alphonso Davies who is the star of the show.

David Ginola is the star of the squad with a 98 OVR and is joined by other FUT Hero Shapeshifters Mario Gomez, Freddie Ljungberg, Fernando Morientes and Lars Ricken.
Of the non-Heroes, Franck Ribery also gets a 98 OVR card, however, it is Marcus Rashford and Federico Valverde who really caught our attention.

Daily Delights Objective & SBC
The Shapeshifters content came early, with the Shapeshifters Daily Delights objective set launching on Wednesday, 15 June, giving you the opportunity to unlock player picks, a couple of Team of the Season Packs and a guaranteed Shapeshifters player!
The objective set and SBC have now expired, however, you can check out the rewards you could have gained right here.
Cup Competitions
It was leaked that three new Live FUT Friendlies would become available during the campaign, all offering untradeable rewards, which are:
- Shapeshifters Cup
- Shapeshifters Bronze Select
- Shapeshifters Silver Select
The Shapeshifters Bronze and Silver Select cups swa EA testing out the Live Opponent mechanics in FUT Friendlies again, with Bronze teams battling against Silver ones.
The more wins you get in each mode, the better the rewards you gain in the corresponding objectives.
We have seen a couple of Shapeshifters Cup objectives released that offer increasingly better rewards depending on how many wins you get in the Live FUT Friendly, which has a limited number of entries per day.
