FIFA 22 is almost upon us, and the ratings are in the process of being revealed too!
Man City will be looking to retain their Premier League crown this season, but that hinges on their summer recruits hitting the ground running.
We have seen some upgrades within the City squad this season too, with one Portuguese centre-back gaining a much higher rating.
Latest news - Ratings Collective tease
Two Man City players feature in EA's Ratings Collective trailer for the Premier League champions.
Centre-back pairing Ruben Dias and John Stones have had their ratings shown off, with a huge upgrade for both men.
A massive +6 upgrade for Dias will see him as an 87 OVR CB in FIFA 22, while Stones' 83 OVR comes on the back of a brilliant season for both club and country.
Only the overall ratings for each player has been released though, so we can't say for sure just how good they will be in the game.
Kevin De Bruyne (OVR 91)
Injury once again blighted Kevin De Bruyne's season, but he still showed that he is one of the world's best in his limited game time.
The Belgian midfield master also played several games as a false nine, hence his ability to play CF in FIFA 21.
KDB is the joint best player - with Cristiano Ronaldo - in the Premier League in FIFA 22 and will be the main man for Man City once more.
Ederson (OVR 89)
Last season's Golden Glove winner, Ederson's rating increased for FIFA 22.
The Brazilian is one of the best GKs on the game and his distribution is second to none.
Raheem Sterling (OVR 88)
England winger Raheem Sterling found himself out of favour towards the end of last season.
There is no doubting Sterling's quality, but if he is not starting week in week out it will be hard to maintain an 88 OVR.
Great form at Euro 2020 has seen him keep the rating for now, but don't be surprised if this drops in updates throughout the season.
Rodri (OVR 86)
Spanish midfield general Rodri looks to have adapted well to the Premier League.
His physique makes him well-suited to the fast-paced and physical style of the Premier League, and last season he looked much more assured in the middle of the park.
Aymeric Laporte (OVR 86)
It is difficult to see how Aymeric Laporte is going to force his way back into the starting XI.
Laporte has not done much wrong, but the form of Ruben Dias and John Stones has been nothing short of incredible.
He has been starting ahead of Stones at the start of this season, but that is due to a lack of pre-season for Stones, who will inevitably be starting as soon as Pep deems him fully fit.
Joao Cancelo (OVR 86)
We saw the best of Joao Cancelo last season and Man City fans will be hoping he can replicate his terrific mid-season form.
The Portuguese international was desperately unlucky to miss Euro 2020, but he should be fresh and raring to go for the new season.
Riyad Mahrez (OVR 86)
Not many players possess the ability that Riyad Mahrez does, which makes his inconsistency all the more frustrating.
Nine Premier League goals simply are not enough for a player of his quality, yet he managed to gain +1 to his overall rating.
Bernardo Silva (OVR 86)
Bernardo Silva scored just two Premier League goals last season, so a downgrade was almost inevitable.
With the likes of Mahrez, Sterling, and Phil Foden all likely to occupy spaces in the front three, expect to see Silva in central midfield next season.
Ilkay Gunodgan (OVR 85)
German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan enjoyed a sensational season in 2020/21.
With 17 goals in all competitions, Gundogan provided an extra threat when KDB was out injured.
Gundogan also picked up a handful of individual awards too seeing his rating increase in FIFA 22.
Jack Grealish (OVR 84)
The most expensive move of the summer.
Manchester City has paid a whopping £100 million for Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish, who will be looking to take his career to new heights at the Etihad.
It also takes City's England contingent to five - with Grealish playing alongside Kyle Walker, John Stones, Phil Foden, and Raheem Sterling at Euro 2020.
Other confirmed ratings:
- Kyle Walker (OVR 85)
- Phil Foden (OVR 84)
- John Stones (OVR 83)
- Gabriel Jesus (OVR 83)
- Fernandinho (OVR 83)
- Ferran Torres (OVR 82)
- Oleksandr Zinchenko (OVR 80)
- Nathan Ake (OVR 78)
- Zack Steffen (OVR 77)
- Scott Carson (OVR 67)
- Luke Bolton (OVR 64)
