Premier League champions Man City will be looking to retain their crown next season while also going one better in Europe too!
As one of the best teams on the planet, we are predicting their player ratings ahead of the new game.
Kevin De Bruyne (OVR 91 → 91)
Injury once again blighted Kevin De Bruyne's season, but he still showed that he is one of the world's best in his limited game time.
The Belgian midfield master also played several games as a false nine, hence his ability to play CF in FIFA 21.
KDB will certainly be among the best in the Premier League in FIFA 22, and will be the main man for Man City once more.
Ederson (OVR 88 → 88)
Last season's Golden Glove winner, Ederson's rating could increase in FIFA 22.
Already rated at 88 OVR, the Brazilian is one of the best GKs on the game and his distrbution is second to none.
We think he will keep his 88 OVR in FIFA 22, but you never know!
Raheem Sterling (OVR 88 → 87)
England winger Raheem Sterling found himself out of favour towards the end of the season.
There is no doubting Sterling's quality, but if he is not starting week in week out then we can't see him maintaining an 88 OVR.
We are going for an 87 OVR in FIFA 22, although if he keeps up his good form at Euro 2020 we could be very wrong indeed.
Rodri (OVR 85 → 86)
Spanish midfield general Rodri looks to have adapted well to the Premier League.
His physique makes him well-suited to the fast-paced and physical style of the Premier League, and this season he has looked much more assured in the middle of the park.
A slight increase to 86 OVR could be on the way in FIFA 22.
Aymeric Laporte (OVR 87 → 86)
It is difficult to see how Aymeric Laporte is going to force his way back into the starting XI.
Laporte has not done much wrong, but the form of Ruben Dias and John Stones has been nothing short of incredible.
Laporte has performed well for his newly-adopted Spain at Euro 2020, but we still think his 87 OVR in FIFA 21 will take a dip.
Ruben Dias (OVR 81 → 85)
The signing of the season hands down.
Ruben Dias came to Manchester and transformed City's defence after forming a superb partnership with John Stones.
We are going for an 85 OVR for Dias, but don't be surprised if it is even higher.
Joao Cancelo (OVR 83 → 85)
We saw the best of Joao Cancelo last season and Man City fans will be hoping he can replicate his terrific mid-season form.
The Portuguese international was desperately unlucky to miss Euro 2020, but he should be fresh and raring to go for the new season.
We see a boost coming for Cancelo, and an 85 OVR would make him one of the game's top RBs.
Riyad Mahrez (OVR 85 → 85)
Not many players possess the ability that Riyad Mahrez does, which makes his inconsistency all the more frustrating.
Nine Premier League goals simply are not enough for a player of his quality.
Until Mahrez performs like we know he can over the majority of a season, we can't see him boosting his 85 OVR.
Bernardo Silva (OVR 87 → 85)
Bernardo Silva scored just two Premier League goals last season, so a downgrade is almost inevitable.
With the likes of Mahrez, Sterling, and Phil Foden all likely to occupy spaces in the front three, expect to see Silva in central midfield next season.
A drop down to 85 OVR seems likely for Silva.
Ilkay Gunodgan (OVR 83 → 84)
German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan enjoyed a sensational season in 2020/21.
With 17 goals in all competitions, Gundogan provided an extra threat when KDB was out injured.
Gundogan also picked up a handful of individual awards too so we can see his rating increasing in FIFA 22.
