You can watch the trailer below in full for a glimpse at the WWE 2K22 graphics and gameplay.

While the trailer does state "gameplay footage captured from a work-in-progress build," even this brief glimpse looks like a major improvement after WWE 2K20.

We didn't get an official release date or window, but the progress shown here and confirmation of WWE 2K22 as the game's title indicates an October 19, 2021 release date still looks most likely.

WWE, like many places, went into a whole different mode of operation due to the onset of the global pandemic in early 2020.

WrestleMania 36 was originally planned to be at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, but the pandemic changed things and that event was held from the WWE Performance Center with no fans in attendance.
