WWE 2K22 Update 1.06 Release Date
WWE 2K22 launched worldwide on March 11, 2022, but it had already been in the hands of fans who had Early Access from placing a pre order on the nWo 4 Life or Deluxe Edition as early as March 8, 2022.
Even before then, review copies went out the day before to journalists and content creators, the latter of which kickstarted Community Creations as new downloadable content began flooding in.
The first hotfix arrived with WWE 2K22 Update 1.05 on March 10, 2022, and the patch notes for that update detailed issues that were fixed with MyRISE, improved Superstar interactions, improved performance and visuals, and most importantly it addressed server issues.
WWE 2K22 servers have been down more often than 2K surely would have wanted since launch, but each time they've worked hard and notified fans of their progress in getting thins back online.
While we don't have an exact release date on WWE 2K22 Update 1.06, the immediacy of a crashing issue is surely not lost on them, and the fixes are hopefully just days away.
Crashing fix on the way according to devs, downloads could be the cause
If you've noticed issues with WWE 2K22, there's a chance that the root cause may be linked to those exciting Community Creations that players on all platforms now have access to.
Community Creations have become an integral part of the franchise in recent years, and they have grown to the extent that a game released just days ago already has multiple top AEW stars with over 30,000+ downloads.
Macho T, a creator that's been working with 2K in their Next Makers program, tweeted the following about the WWE 2K22 crashing problems:
We've also gotten some confirmation through developers at Visual Concepts via the official-unofficial account RibbieWWE, which is themed after the in-game character Ribbie we've seen in the series over the years.
The account has provided a handful of updates leading into and after launch, including this latest regarding the crashes:
While players surely are wanting the WWE 2K22 crashing fix to arrive sooner rather than later, it sounds like the devs at Visual Concepts are hard at work to get it out as quickly as they possibly can.
In the meantime, we recommend being careful with downloads in Community Creations if you start experiencing crashing.
While we've been able to download things without much issue, reports from players seem to indicate that the more things you download the more likely the crashing is to appear, so pausing that until there's a fix is a safe call.
