WWE 2K22 Roster: Will NXT 2.0 superstars be in the game at launch?

As the WWE 2K22 roster continues to get newly confirmed superstars, so far we've seen very little of the talent currently holding down the fort in NXT 2.0.

With a new report having just arrived, we're looking closer at whether NXT 2.0 will actually be a part of the WWE 2K22 roster at launch.

WWE 2K22 Roster: Will NXT 2.0 superstars be in the game at launch?

We've got more WWE 2K22 roster reveals landing each day, but so far we've seen very little of the various superstars who currently occupy the new NXT 2.0.

While a few names have been revealed like Kay Lee Ray, Dakota Kai, Pete Dunne, and Mandy Rose, there haven't been any announced that are particularly new to that brand.

Mandy Rose is the only cornerstone piece of NXT 2.0 confirmed so far, but she was a part of the WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20 roster and has previously been part of WWE's main roster.

CONFIRMED: Mandy Rose and Pete Dunne are already on the officiallly confirmed roster

Pete Dunne has stayed mostly in NXT and NXT UK, but he was also part of the rosters for WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20 in the past.

Dakota Kai has primarily been a part of NXT and not NXT UK, but has been there quite some time and was also included in the rosters for WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20.

Kay Lee Ray appears to be the only new NXT character confirmed so far, though she's not exactly new to being a key part of NXT UK.

As for newer NXT 2.0 staples like reigning NXT Champion Bron Breaker or NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, neither has been shown so far as part of the WWE 2K22 roster.

NXT 2.0 superstars to get post-launch DLC pack per new report

Despite hopes that the superstars currently lighting things up on Tuesday nights would make it in by the WWE 2K22 release date, it looks like they may be post-launch additions instead.

Following a recent report about two WWE legends planned for a post-launch DLC pack, we got a follow-up from the same reporter about NXT 2.0.

Straw had previously reported that WWE 2K22 would receive five post-launch DLC packs featuring new wrestlers, and that was later confirmed by 2K as the WWE 2K22 Season Pass that comes with the Deluxe Edition includes "all 5 of the DLC packs featuring new Superstars and Legends."

According to this latest tweet, it looks like one of those five will focus on NXT 2.0, and that's likely to mean some of the newer talents like Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Toxic Attraction, and others.

Unfortunately, we may have to wait for the announcement of those DLC packs to find out exactly which NXT 2.0 superstars make the cut and get to join the WWE 2K22 roster.
